How much TV do you watch?

@Balzac...have question..what is cost of TV license fee..monthly or annual..for the #of tv(s) have?😉
thanks!
I'll answer for him, I know he won't mind. It's £159 per year

This is to watch all TV channels, and receive radio.. etc... but is only charged by the BBC>.long complicated story.. You can't get away from buying a licence if you don't watch BBC channels of which there are many... but you can choose not to have one as long as you don't watch any ''live'' tv.

Those of us who were employed by the BBC didn't get our licences free...we pay the same as everyone else rich or poor

if we're found watching tv without a licence we face a fine of £1000... or prison on non payment

I like to watch PBS programs, National Geographic Channel, and BBC for news early morning. I abandoned the local news channels a long time ago. The reports are poor or full of violence. They also love to scare you with their weather reports!
I love streaming for films, series, or documentaries. I spend a good amount of time doing that.

Very little if any local TV....Mostly stream on TV with Amazon Fire Stick...

Two plus decades OTA "off the air' antenna only and receive 80 to 120 channels depending on weather. No streaming services. Will watch a bit of news some days and sci-fi that is uncommon. If home on Sunday, might watch SF 49er football game but as winter snow skier was more often up in Tahoe. Since Internet rose have far more activity there. Decades ago stopped watching most famous network shows because did not want to be polluted by their subtle social engineering. Recently have begun watching more on Story Television that is non-fiction informational similar to Youtube.
Story Television

I watch zero television .. the exception being when daughter visits - we watch international news reports after dinner. I get my news via internet. The O/H supports PBS, so, he watches that station, however, he watches more DVD's than anything.

Television programs, not so much as before.

I'm always checking the news once a day at least. Then it's YouTube, a couple of series on streaming then loads of films.

Haven't been in a cinema since the last Harry Potter films. I prefer watching film on our mini screen 50". We've got films streaming always, then our DVDs for repeat loved ones.

Whitworth popcorn kernels into popcorn maker, added butter. Watching films at home, you can rewind to your heart's content, save loads of cash and you can watch it over and again...

Not enough apparently. There's still so much on my watch lists. I mostly watch T.V. when I'm eating (bad habit...I know) and for a little while afterward. Sometimes I'll watch a part of a movie or show when I'm taking it down for the night.

i pay $51 for internet and that's it. i stream tv shows on the laptop and listen to music and look at youtube videos all the time. some live some not. no licensing fees. all of it is offered free unless i want a paid acct.

According to the most recent data from the Ministry of Justice, there were 47,622 prosecutions and 44,106 convictions for failing to pay the television licence in the year ending June 2022-14 Mar 2023

we all have to pay separately for our tv channels... for our internet and everything else.. very expensive packages in some case... the licence doesn't buy us anything but the right to use these things...

We cut the cable years ago and I haven't missed it at all. I realized at the time that there's so much available online and with streaming that it was just an extra monthly payment that was rarely used.
Me too, dropped the cable+DVR maybe 8 years ago. I put up an antenna, but it's only to catch an occasional live football game. How much TV?... at the most per day it's 3-4 hrs of screen time. I read a lot and spend time at the keyboard.

My TV is on all day, a lot of the time its just background with no sound only CC, because I'm doing my chores or on my computer ...I have different streaming channels, I watch Sling the most because they have live news and I want to keep up with the latest, if the news gets too repetitive and I want to rest from chores, I'll find a movie.

Having the TV on is one thing, actually watching it is another! Most of the time, my TV is on for company, or to keep the SO happy so she doesn’t talk! If I want to actually watch something, I’ll go to another room to view a movie on Netflix or Amazon, probably watching it in two or three installments…. 📺
