How not to have an affair

I don’t understand why the woman involved , who is apparently the head of the Human Resources Department, has not also lost her job. The other young woman in the video is also a member of the HR department. She would have had an obligation to report the relationship.
How could any employee who works at this company be able to trust the HR department to investigate any complaint, whether of sexual misconduct or other issues. (I realize in reality, the HR department exists to protect the company not the employees ). Especially if the complaints involved the cheating CEO .

I understand the concerns about violating the privacy of individuals. But these individuals drug their entire company into a messy and potentially illegal situation.

I get where you’re coming from as a general statement about privacy @Medusa.

But to assume privacy in a huge stadium filled with thousands of people that also has a Jumbotron is naive of the two people involved, in my opinion.

Also, privacy, and anonymity, are often confused. While we can assume we’re protected by anonymity in a huge crowd, just one of thousands, to also assume the venue will protect our privacy is short sighted at best, and foolish at worst.
Very good point. Agreed.

The other woman has been identified as "the cheating woman's" co-worker (possibly assistant) who has also recently been promoted.

The other young woman in the video is also a member of the HR department.

This widely believed assertion has been refuted. Even Astronomer issued a statement saying that woman in the video is not Cabot's assistant, Alyssa Stoddard, although the two certainly do resemble each other. Cabot's assistant, Alyssa Stoddard wasn't even at the concert that night.

I saw that meme on FB today, but had not heard the story til now. The way the office people carried on at my last job, This story is no surprise at all. I don't like the publicity of it all either, it shows our media is just as corrupt as company management.
I missed this little sordid tidbit, which is strange since it seems all the tidbits of juicy garbage seem to wash through my FB stream.

Really, what concerned me most about this was what it indicates about privacy in general. Basically, it's gone and we live in a different world now. There's no getting it back.

There are good things about the loss of privacy in that people get caught for their crimes because of it, and maybe, commit them less for fear of it. But the other side of that is that we've all had to give up our privacy and learn to live in this new world of cameras everywhere all the time. Paging George Orwell.
Privacy and anonymity is a thing of the past. People can be easily tracked via air tags slipped into our cars or gym bags, tracking software on our phones, etc.

I have friends whose underage children know their parents' cell phone passwords, and thus have access to their texts - including the texts they send to me when they're frustrated or concerned about some of their children's behavior.

As for the cheating couple, I feel for their families, but my sympathies for the cheaters are nil. This wasn't someone being caught in a single moment of bad behavior in an otherwise mostly aboveboard life. Cheaters know EXACTLY what they're doing when they have affairs. People don't "fall into affairs" — they claw their way in, repeatedly choosing to lie, cheat and steal (stealing time and affection from the spouse and family) every step of the way.

If one of my friends was cheating on a spouse or was single but romantically involved with someone who was cheating, my friendship would be over. I have zero tolerance for cheaters.

I was saying this in my post above, as well in that I feel more for the spouse(s) involved here and that privacy as we know it is a thing of the past. It is a different world now.
