How Often Do You Dream About Your Deceased Spouse?

I remember when my husband and I were first getting together, I dreamed about him literally every night. He's been gone now for five and a half years and for the last three months, I've dreamt of him two or three times a week. Sometimes he's active in the dream, like reaching for and pulling me to safety from what we deemed a possible unsafe situation to just standing there, looking like his younger, exceptionally handsome self, as I passed by with my date (non existent in real life). The dreams are vivid, as are most of my dreams and seem so real when they are happening.

If I survive mine I expect I’ll get many of the reminders and helpful advice I enjoy currently in person.

I don't have a spouse, but I thought I'd horn in here the way married people do in threads on single people's issues. I won't be faced with such a haunting myself.

Yes, it has been 14 years since he passed. I still have vivid dreams and will also say I see his ghost in the house. He usually comes through when I am sick or troubled about something. Yes, I know you don't believe it but us very, very real to me. I talk and reach out to him when he is here. I keep thinking, if I could only touch his ghost he would take me with him.

He is not the only one, I saw my father a lot when I was a child. I was only 3 when he died and I have no no memory of him but I knew he was when he came.

I believe you, and I also believe that no one can say definitively what happens after we pass over. I have been visited by both my parents after they passed and it was a blessing.

I also had a few nightmares about my ex and had to pray that he find someplace else to visit and leave me the heck alone.

I don't know if you were referring to me when you wrote this "Yes, I know you don't believe it but us very, very real to me" but if so, you'd be wrong. I grew up believing in them and actually saw one in the hallway inside our apartment while I was looking in the bathroom mirror. This happened about 10 years ago. He floated there and watched me for at least 45 seconds. I was surprised but not frightened. You can read my detailed account in this thread (reply #20).
Have you ever seen an angel, a ghost or any sort of celestial being?

I've also posted about experiences of friends and I believe them. I know that there are people on the forum who don't believe, especially if they never experienced sightings for themselves. But there are many of us who do. I invite you to post your ghostly experiences in the Paranormal category if you don't mind. I love reading and hearing about these things.

Carouselsilver, I believe in the afterlife and reincarnation. I think we are basically energy and after we die that energy remains in the universe instead of dying. I hope you'll visit our Paranormal group and post your experiences too. I also hope your ex-husband will move on a leave you the he*l alone!

I dream about getting the Harley she won't let me have. She's still alive though :p

That was an itch that I was allowed to scratch in middle age.
As a young man I so hankered after a Harley, then cupid,
marriage and mortgage sort of got in the way.

Then in middle age, with the mortgage cleared and debt
history, that itch came back. It's called a Heritage Softail, we
had it for five years, not an incident, nor wobble, or near
miss. Sold it at a profit, then used the money to scratch
another itch.

It's a Packard, totally impractical, but we loved it. Look through
the windscreen, can you see that the steering wheel is on the
right? Packard didn't export right hand drive cars to the UK,
but they did export them to South Africa, who also drive on
the left. It's only hearsay but I think that's where it originated.
Good grief do I look young, or what?

I only recall one dream and it was short but vivid, recent, and so real...like a couple of weeks ago (my husband passed over 30 years ago). He walked over to me and gave me a warm and tender kiss that is hard to describe. I felt a warm gentle Love slowly flow over me from head to toe...and then I woke up. I don't ever remember dreams past a few minutes but I'll never forget this one.
