How often do you dust?

As a pragmatic someone living alone for decades, answering to no others, infrequently. I rarely have guests so tend to keep clean items for which health may be an issue like eating utensils and kitchen areas, while having little concern for dust atop things that have no consequences.

I do wish my residence had hard floors instead of its carpeting, an endless source of dust I just need to live with. Won't ever own another residence without hard floors. Can always toss a few rugs about where they have purpose. Otherwise carpeting is a disaster for a photographer. My 2-story 903 square foot residence is currently as dust free as it has been in several years. Still have some dusty messes, especially piles of dusty paperwork and maps I still need to sort through into hanging file boxes.

I own a 12hp floor vacuum and a 500 watt battery stick vacuum. As my surgery approached, went on a cleaning binge and was quite thorough turning all up-side-down for about a week. That included, removing books from 3 bookshelves, dusting them, sorting, and rearranging. And with a new desktop computer being built, totally rebuilt a large zone of electronic stuff to make setting that up smoother. Won't happen again for a few more years.

I'm just curious, how often do you dust your furniture, knick-knacks, etc?

I play a lot of music, and my preferred format is Vinyl. Dusting is essential. My record deck and surrounding area need to be dusted daily. Each record is "dusted" prior to playing.
