How Often Do You Visit Your Library?

I use our local system on a regular basis. I can pick up a book anywhere in southeastern Massachusetts and return it to another library in the same area, if I so choose or if it's more convenient. I also have active cards in 2 libraries in Maine, where we spend time in the spring and fall. Had them for 20 years now and will be using one of them next week when we head for the cottage.

I've tried my wife's Ipad but just don't feel comfortable with it. I know - - "the old dog and new tricks story" but as long as I can make it to the library, I'll continue with hard cover books.

We do have bookmobiles in our area which service various neighborhoods and as far as noise and/or homeless people, I've never noticed either at our local libraries. I probably have a choice of about 6 or 7 libraries within easy travel distance within our city and surrounding towns. I use a couple of the town libraries more often than any of the 3 here in the city.

@hollydolly thank you so much for showing me that! I loved seeing it. I think reading is such an important thing, and I know that buying books can be difficult for a lot of people. It does my heart good to see that books are still available to those that want them. I didn't know the mobiles were around anymore. And they do look very similar. Ours looked more like old school buses though lol.

You're very welcome ,:giggle: I totally agree with you that it's important for people to have a free access service to libraries !!
