How old is your oldest living sibling....

My elder brother is 79... hard to even think of him being almost 80..... I often think back to when he was a vibrant teenager and played drums in a band....

Out of my immediate family I miss him the most. He lives about 800 miles away and it's difficult for me to travel. But once a year we meet up at our mother's place in Phoenix for several days, which is only 200 miles north of me. Unfortunately we both missed this year because of some health issues and our poor mother was disappointed Come hell or high water we vowed to make it next year

I have one brother left, but I haven't seen or heard from him since 2014, when he showed up with a truck to help me move from Yuba City back to Sacramento. I hadn't seen him for 5 years before then, and it had been 12 years before that. He lives what he calls a separatist lifestyle.

He's 13 months older than me, and I was 70 in Feb. He's really healthy, so I'm sure he's still around. We're the only 2 left out of five after our oldest bro died this year, so I've been hoping he shows up again sometime soon.

Yes, my 2 older sisters live about an hour or so, from me. Younger brother lives in Vancouver.

My brother is 75 and I talk to him on the phone. Have not seen him in person in about 2 years. He still works and has a wild west re-enactment show so is quite busy. We used to be really close but not so much in these later years. Especially since I moved here.

Sounds like my now deceased eldest sister, 10 yrs o!der. I could count with fingers left over on my hands the number of times we talked on the phone (mostly when my family and i were caring for our terminally ill DAD. She didn't write letters or send cards. But for she was alive i knew i aways had a safety net; That i could show up with kids and critters in tow and be welcomed.

A couple of years later the 2nd oldest, 8 yrs my senior died. So have i have just one older sibling left, either 5 or 6 and a quarter yrs older-- always sensitive about her she may have fudged it by a year. (She's the one i've talked about who when we lived in same city wanted me to dye my greying hair cause 'everybody knows you are my younger sister'.)

We email and call. She always had some memory issues (for more than one reason) but it is getting worse.

Me too. I have just two cousins who are older than me, both male.
I am now effectively the matriarch of my family.
