How tall are you?

Holy Smokes!! Did you play basketball?

Why the shock..5'11 isn't tall..it's just normal. Basketball players are usually much taller than that.
I'm 5'6 and when I was growing up, people were always commenting on how tall I was....but I've got lovely long legs..Marks and Spencers are aware that people are different heights and their trousers come in different lengths.

I am 6’4” and would have been satisfied with 6’. Buying pants is a problem and also the extra long shirts. Not too many stores have a good selection in the Tall Department.

seeker ---if you go on the cp you will find a way to shorten your jeans and still have the same hem that comes with the jeans---my daughter hems my t shirts all the time with this method----by the way -i am 5 41/2----i have scoliosis so i have one pants leg shorter than the other

I'm 5'8 1/2"..tall for a woman. I used to hate being tall when I was in school, I was always the tallest girl in class. Turned it to my advantage in my teen years and started modeling. Even with 4" heels I was still on the shorter side for a model.

My ex HATED my height...just one of many things he hated about me lol! He was barely 5'9" and wouldn't ever let me wear heels because that would make me taller than him.

Interestingly, unlike most folks as they age, I've gained an inch...all my adult life I was 5' 7 1/2" My doctor credits my dancing with the increase. I'm an agile dancer with good technique, and that's given me a strong core, which has also strengthened and elongated my spine, adding that additional inch. I've always stood straight, but dance has enhanced my posture too. I can just be standing in line somewhere for example, minding my own business, and I'll get asked if I'm a dancer, or less often a gymnast. I guess it shows lol! Part of that might be that I get a lot of my height from my legs, they're long in comparison to my torso.

Don't even get me started on pants!!!! It's so difficult to find pants long enough! I'm loving the fact that more and more manufacturers are adding Tall sizing to their lines. It means I can find more pants that fit, and also changes where dresses hit my leg...even though I don't wear them often, I want them to be the right length.

Ron is 6'2" and he loves my height. He gets a real kick when I put on heels adding several inches.
You are tall. I wouldn’t have guessed from your pictures. Your man is tall also.
My man isn’t but never makes me feel uncomfortable on the rare occasion when I wear high heels. In fact I think he likes me being taller than him.

LOL>.. no I'm only pullin' yer leg.:wiggle:. despite being a dancer all my life.. unlike Ronni I never gained an inch from it .. I'm just a titchy 5ft 1''...
Ahhh. That’s what I thought. I’ve been a dancer also and never gained any height but would have liked to. :wiggle:

I'm also shrinking, used to be 5'4", now more like 5'3" . And I always have to hem pants, also. (But the length they call "crop" usually go down to my ankle.)

I'm 5'7" and wish I were a couple of inches taller. As a child, I hated being the tallest in class and I was always seated in the back with all the boys, then got punished for fraternizing. It was a Catholic school. :sentimental: Pants are almost always too short unless I buy designer which I do, but I can never go to a regular store and buy pants off the rack. Capris are okay, but long pants - no way. I was never a ballet dancer but did do some modeling in college. At least being tall is good for something. It's very rare that I run into a woman taller than me although I'm not that tall for a woman by today's standards. BF is around 6'2" so that works.

I'm only 5' 10"

but that's OK

I blend well

Minus the Catholic school, I was the same. I shot up quickly and by grade 6 or 7 , I was 5’7”. Most of the boys were shorter than me so I intimidated most of them, not that I mind much. :p
Run way modelling I did a bit a but of and I considered photograph modelling until they asked if I’d be willing to cut my hair:eek:nthego:

I’m the shortest of my siblings. My oldest brother is about 5’10’, average for a man but my other brother who was the middle child was 6’2”. My father used to be about 5’10” - 225 pounds and all muscle. Now he’s shorter than me and much weaker.
My mom used to be 5’5” but now she’s a bit shorter but not as different as my father’s height difference.
I think it’s due to his crippled leg and spine. It’s sad to see than like so.

Yes!! I hate having to hem, especially jeans, they just don't hang the same.

And they are hard to sew on a machine, once you double them.
seeker if you go into u tube and put in -how can i shorten my jeans and keep original hem -it shows you a video
