Of course it belongs to Putin.. but I don't think I've ever seen anything as luxurious as this in my life, owned by just one person..
This is the Scheherazade, reputedly Vladimir Putin ’s £500 million superyacht where each of its six decks groans with obscene luxury and hideous excess

Outside are twin helipads, capable of landing Russian attack helicopters, immaculate teak decks and a highly sophisticated communication and defence system with the ability to shoot drones out of the sky. But it is inside that the sheer opulence begins.

There is a self-levelling pool table, a spa with a cryotherapy chamber and a swimming pool that can transform into a dance floor. There is an aquarium, theatre, ballroom, gym and a Jacuzzi. And for sheer chutzpah, a self-playing grand piano that, allegedly, repeats a song titled Vladimir Putin Is A Fine Fellow.

Below decks is an underground hangar big enough to hold a helicopter, six jet skis, five tenders and eight Seabobs.

Gold fittings and bling are everywhere, from the bathroom taps to the rivets and screws that hold a 4.5-metre-wide television to the wall of one stateroom.

I must have the wrong idea about Communism...so much for equality!

To answer the question...no, it's too big. Other people would invite themselves for free holidays...that happened to me when I lived near a sea-side resort.
A smaller version would suit me.

staying off topic for a bit, yes having the house in Spain just 10 minutes from the coast, I know all about visitors who want to come and stay for free.. , that in itself would be ok, but most of them want to be taken out for free as well...

Do/did you have to hire a house sitter? Or is it safe enough to leave it for a long period of time?

Well, doesn't Putin need a decent place to have meetings? Big decisions need to be made.......like what to destroy.

This is the dance floor which opens up to become a swimming pool...

Currently the ship is undergoing repairs in Italy...

A worker involved in the construction of the ship said that every surface is either Gold or marble. There's even a hospital...

of course aside from the zillion huge state rooms in the kremlin he could always have his meetings in his little cottage...by the sea

Good God...no wonder he loves his Presidential position.. Jeez.. it's actually almost unbelievable that one person could have all that excess... the vast majority of Russian people live in relative poverty... , and even when Putin dies, his wife and daughters will get it all...
Putin and his wife divorced years ago. I don't think he remarried, but does have a girlfriend with whom he has a daughter, as it's rumored.

yes he divorced in 2014.. but his 2 daughters will inherit, plus the child/ren he has with not only the Mistress Gymnast.. bu he has another mistress too.. forgot their names...

His Eldest daughter ( and doppleganger)apparently has lost her career because of her father's actions.. according to todays' Media

The war in Ukraine has ‘devastated the hopes of Vladimir Putin’s eldest daughter to open a money-spinning elite medical centre’ for super-rich foreigners in Russia - as it is reported that her marriage to her Western husband has collapsed.

Glamorous Dr Maria Vorontsova, 36, born when the Russian president was a KGB spy, is an expert in rare genetic diseases in children.

Exiled Russian investigative journalist Sergey Kanev said that Putin “did a rotten job for his elder daughter” is triggering massive Western sanctions because of the war with Ukraine.

He revealed: “She has a big share in the mega-project for the construction of a super modern medical centre near St. Petersburg.

“The plans were to attract patients from Europe and rich sheikhs from the Persian Gulf countries.

“And now, after the attack on Ukraine, what kind of Europeans and sheikhs will come?”

Someone ought to bomb that yacht! Put a hole right through the middle.
I have a friend who says she thinks Putin was a fetal alcohol syndrome baby. She said he looked like one, so I looked up FAS and found out that they have very small eyes and very thin lips. Hummmm, interesting.

Interesting because this has been surmised online too by the biographical writer of ''Putin''...

To the citizens of Russia, President Vladimir Putin is a judo-chopping, tiger-taming, Edward Snowden-protecting, U.S.-defying national hero. But according to a new book, it’s all a façade. The book, by a Moscow political scientist, claims that Putin is actually a pathetic weakling.

The controversial biography, Putin, by Stanislav Belkovsky, says that an unhappy childhood left Putin shy, unassertive, and scarred to this day. Belkovsky says the tough-guy show that Putin puts on for the Russian press is just an act to hide his insecurities.

“The small Vladimir, who grew up practically without a father and without the love and care of his parents, was a withdrawn and grim child,” Belkovsky writes, according to Der Spiegel, the German weekly news magazine. He alleges that Putin was born two years before the year he gives as his birth – and that he was born to an alcoholic father. He says Putin’s mother shipped the child off to St. Petersburg (then Leningrad), where the couple who would act as his parents raised him.

Belkovsky, described as a star columnist at a Moscow tabloid, also insinuates that Putin, who is divorced with two daughters, might be gay. He calls the Russian president a “gay icon,” adding that in 2007 Putin participated in a “truly erotic photo session in which Putin and Prince Albert of Monaco posed topless with their fishing rods in their hands." (He stops short of calling Putin gay, hedging that "a cult figure among homosexuals is not automatically a homosexual himself.")
