SD...the papers have been reporting 110,000....that's a lie... there was more like a quarter of a million if not more.... the media are trying to play it down as tho' it's just some reprobates,....but in fact this country has had enough.. and has risen up... in protest at the illegal immigration, and the govt failure to address the issues that the people have been begging them to address for years !

What's worse is the govt have taken away free speech from the people.. and they use it to imprison people who protest..

I wish I could write more but the politics rules are stopping me...
 
Hey, "the people" have usually been able to create change so if this is a good thing I'm all for it. I know your immigration issues are somewhat different than ours so I can't comment beyond that. I think we in the US are also for immigration reform done the right way, regardless of party.

yes this is the problem tho'.... the gvt have stamped down on people rising up and protesting by taking away their right to free seech. Imprisoning people for typing hurty words on the internet,.. for people voicing their concerns if they use a racist term... as a warning and threat to other people whi wish to make their feelings and voices known..

British flags have been torn down by the police.. not during protests but simply hanging them in patriotic manners on houses and buildings... yet immigrant flags are left to fly without any interference..

Immigrants given homes , when there's millions of people homeless or living in horrible housing due to long waiting lists

Schools overcrowded and teachers unable to cope with some schools having 30 or more seperate languages being spoken by children ...

Hospitals and doctors waiting lists years long,due to uncontrolled immigration, and no new hospitals or schools being built....

these are just a small examples albeit rampant..which is happening here and has been happening for several years.. and people have had enough... now they're going out on the street en masse..


Now I will hush my mouth because I don't want to cause this thread to be locked

Hols, I know the Royals are mostly figureheads, but has King Charles come out with a statement that would try to soothe the country?
 
I'm strongly with you on this @hollydolly. As is the case in the US, it is powerful economic forces that are really behind pro immigration policies. There are simply far far too many desperate, poor, third world people for which escape to already overpopulated, over-burdened, Western nations is their only hope.

So in the process, quality of life of ordinary native citizens continually decreases with traditional ways of life lost. Unfortunately, having citizens rise up in mass protests will probably be the only way dramatic, sensible, change may occur because powerful economic, political, and media forces are in control.

So far, a few other European nations, like Denmark, have figured that out. I hope you Brits folks are successful with change too, else our next generations are doomed.

There is a world wide protest going on regarding countries being over run with immigrants, legal and illegal.
Even too many tourists visiting small countries, overwhelming the local populace.
The response from governments?
Riot police, tear gas, water cannons, mass arrests.
Sickening scenes.
 
Over tourism in places like Venice is a separate issue.

I don't see a world wide protest against immigrants legal and illegal - I see pockets of far right extremists doing so.

Would be a strange protest in Australia where almost all of us are immigrants or descendants of immigrants.

I guess the Aboriginal people might have a point about their country getting over run by British and co though. šŸ¤”

Umm, I'd just like to say that the people who went to the "Unite The Kingdom" rally in London last Saturday were not 'far right' as you say, but ordinary people like yourself. Many older ones in wheelchairs, and many families. They all had a good time, despite the inclement weather and all came away saying how they'd enjoyed the day.

However, there was a counter demonstration of several thousand 'anti racist' activists, who tried to infiltrate the rally in order to cause touble. The police managed to keep the two separate, but in the process 25 arrests were made and (according to the police) 26 officers were 'injured' (whatever that means).

Sadly, the main stream media tried to demean the whole thing by saying that only 110,000 had turned up (blatant lie!) and that there'd been trouble from clashes with the police. The truth was very different I can assure you.

I don't think that these are "far right rallies". These are just normal people who express their concerns on more than burning problems with mass migration.

And don't forget the thousands of girls that were sex sklaves for grooming gangs (what a euphemism for mass rapes) from Pakistan.
Have you ever read of Rotherham, Telford and other cities?
Tommy Robinson was the man who made it public and went into jail for revealing the truth.
