Ventured out today because needing a few groceries. Came home with no groceries.
One of our large grocery chains is Ingles which had headquarters in NC. I used them and their pharmacy for my meds. In fact, had prescriptions in their system to be filled on Saturday. Ingles whole pharmacy system is shut down and I was told they had no idea when they could fill prescriptions again.
The grocery was open but cash only. No dairy products or frozen items.
I tried two other grocery stores and a Dollar General. None had dairy or frozen items. Due to having to toss everything from days of no power and trucks unable to deliver new products.
some gas stations operating but some with bags over the nozzles.
Still people without power in SC. But things are so much worse in NC. It’s heartbreaking on social media the people that are listing missing friends/ relatives and begging for information.
Tomorrow I will tackle the prescription problems and look for milk elsewhere.
