Husband is retired and my home is not my own anymore

Heh, I once rearranged my wife's kitchen cabinets while she shopped

Once

She didn't say much
Prolly jealous I was more organized

I went somewhere
When I returned, all my tools, even nuts and bolts, were dumped on the shop floor

I didn't say anything
At dinner she said 'oh, by the way, I rearranged your shop'

I laughed so hard, I almost blew a bean outa my nose

We had a good time that night
Rearrange her cabinets????? Do you also skydive without a parachute and run with the bulls with cement galoshes?

Why wouldn’t the original post be real? It is quite common for wives to have difficulty when their husbands retire. If these difficulties impact her sleep cycle, that can be very stressful. Also, given the covid hell that has shadowed us all

for over a year, I think many of us could appreciate a little tea and sympathy now and then. I know there are times I have found both here on sf. Thanks, my friends. You are the best.🌹🌹

Are you complaining about having your husband home?
(advise from a widow)
Someday you will reach for him and he won't be there.
That day, you will reconsider your priorities.

I don't mean to be critical. I don't! But his warm body is so much more important than sleep.
Amen!!! I have a couple of friends that complain constantly about their hubbys, I always feel like I’d trade places with you in a heartbeat.

Unbelievable...no wonder the poor lady hasn't showed up. She made a simple statement and instead of just welcoming her, she got instead a lot of wannabe psychiatrists and life coaches :LOL: breathing down her neck.

It was quite an adjustment when the hubby retired but we got into a routine that works for us. These days he does his thing and I do mine. We never were a couple who had to be in each others hip pocket every hour of every day.
He has his den with the TV and recliner, and I have my daughters room for my computer, crafts and sewing.
We visit each other throughout the day and meet for lunch and dinner.
My only complaint is cleaning day. His bladder seems to know when I have washed the bathroom floor and his ability to make himself invisible when I need him to do something.
Other than that we do just fine.

Similar thing happened recently when a gentlemen came by looking for some marital relationship advice. Some comments were great, but others very harsh. Amazingly, he kept his cool. Long knives are no fun.
