"7 Reasons to Feel Great About Your Nutritional Yeast Addiction

While I’d heard of nutritional yeast before I went vegan, I’d certainly never tried it on purpose. Luckily, I quickly got wise to the majesty that is Nooch Life—and I’m never going back. Nutritional yeast (also known as savory yeast, yeshi, and brufax) has become my favorite condiment. I sprinkle the cheezy-tasting flakes on just about everything I can think of, from salad to pasta to popcorn. In fact, when I ran out of the stuff for 36 crazy-long hours last week, it hit me: I am a nooch addict.
Luckily for all us vegans, nooch addiction isn’t a bad thing! Here are seven reasons you can feel great about sprinkling nutritional yeast on all things, all the time."

I put that bleep on just about everything! Love it. Get it in bulk at WINCO foods. Trader Joe's carries it as well as health food stores.

I've heard of putting it on popcorn but have yet to do so.

I've heard some say it doesn't agree with their stomach. I've never had that problem, gratefully.

UPDATE: It has been a few months since I began taking Nutritional Yeast. At first I took 1 tsp a day. Two weeks ago I was taking 3 tsp's a day. About 2 weeks ago I started noticing I was getting headaches, and my digestive system changed and became MORE regular...and softer. In the last two weeks I have had severe migraine headaches so bad I was bedridden 3 times for more than 15 hours and struggling all day and night with strong discomfort. I was also having a very soft BM every 12 hours and unable to recover . 2 days ago I got up from the last 15 hour "sleep" and quit taking the Yeast. The headache is gone, and my bowels are returning to semi-normal. So I looked up "side effects of Nutritional Yeast" and here they are :

"In large doses, it can cause digestive discomfort or facial flushing due to its high-fiber and niacin content, respectively.

Nutritional yeast may also contain tyramine, which may trigger migraine headaches in some individuals.

It’s best to introduce nutritional yeast slowly into your diet and stick to lower doses of supplements to minimize unwanted side effects."

Too much of anything is hardly ever good
I discovered that with beer

That's where this carnivore likes it

She uses the flakes
Kicks up popcorn to a whole new level
Throw a little garlic powder on top of that,
you find yerself finishing a large steel mixing bowl in one sitting
....and rubbing the last kernels into what's left of the mix

Also, my lady smothers her vegan patties with it
Good on zucchini patties

I developed a terrible migraine headache about 9am yesterday that put me to bed until this morning. So the Nutritional Yeast might not have been the cause. It could be that I am reacting to a high mold count outside. I think what @Gary O' said about moderation is good advice on most all our actions. I am feeling better, but it feels like I am walking on egg shells.
