I am doing better

AZ Jim

R.I.P. With Us In Spirit Only
I'll never stop loving and missing my beloved wife, Detta (RIP 1/30/19). I realize she won't be back and I am trying to live on as she would want. I read here daily but don't have anything interesting to post. I am trying to learn to cook by just trying....Thank you all for your friendship and support....I'll keep trying..

Hey, AZ glad you stopped in!

I'm glad you're learning to cook! There's so many recipes online and You Tube is a wealth of information. This may end up being a lot of fun for you. Ask a neighbor to be your "guinea pig" now and then!

Good to hear you're keeping on, keeping on, Jim... I think about you often and hope you're managing,.. even if you have nothing to say here for now, the very fact that you know your friends are here I hope is a comfort for you, and that when you're ready to have some idle chit chat we'll all be here.. Good luck with the cooking!!!

Jim, I'm happy to know you're doing better after losing your sweet wife, thanks for letting us know how you are, like Holly, I think of you often. You're right, Detta would want to to continue with your life and do well. Glad you're getting into cooking, food is definitely one of the pleasures in life, and there are lots of simple dishes you can make that are fit for one. :lemo:

Man, so good to hear from you, Sir Jim.

Glad to know you’re coming to grips......as your signature....'growing, not dying'

Not many of us know that leg of the journey

Hi Jim, sad to hear of your loss but good for you to have the courage to live on as she would have wanted. Don't think for a minute that what you post would not be interesting. Just "cook" us up some Margaritas and I'm sure anything you post will be interesting! Not to mention funny :D. Enjoy what life has left to offer you :) Stay strong and visit us here often. We're here for you :love_heart:

Good to hear from you Jim, stay strong, let us know what’s cooking and how it turns out :)

I find I have pleasant memories of my loved departed ones when I eat something that they used to make, or which we shared together.
Food is a great way to be closer to them and a comfort to the spirit.

What was something Detta used to prepare that you enjoyed together?
Some of us might be able to help with an easy recipe and some cooking tips.

So good to see you, Jim. I'd love to see more of you here. Maybe invent some new recipes and share them here?

It will take time.

Hi Jim,wonderful to hear from you,I keep you in my nightly prayers
Let us know how your cooking is going, what kinds of meals you are making
As always your friends are here for you on SF Sue

So glad to hear from you! Like others have mentioned, I think about you most days. Glad you're staying busy and that you just keep putting one foot in front of the other.

Aww you're welcome Jim, just keep going, you have Detta in your memory , and in your home in pictures and photos..... and you have us to keep you sane...
