I am so proud to be English and live in England

Insofar as Muslims eventually overrunning Great Britain, and even much of Europe....I was just recounting a speech I heard a few weeks ago by some Muslim Cleric on Al Jazeera TV. This radical claimed that Islam would eventually take over the world, and one of the first goals would be the UK. It may be "rubbish", but this was his stated "goal". Islam is the 2nd largest religion in the UK, and is growing at a fairly rapid pace. Naturally, I don't have any first hand knowledge about the happenings in the UK, but there is a wealth of information on the Internet if you search on "Islam in Great Britain"...and some of it should be giving the population some concern. If your nations news has been carrying the stories about the recent beheadings taking place in the ISIS controlled territories in Iraq/Syria, You must have noticed the very British accent of the radical holding the knife.

Islam, and its Fanatical followers, poses a real danger to everyone in the Western World....and to downplay this threat insures some real problems in the future.
 

Excuse me Don, but this thread was never mean't to be a political thread against Muslims or anything political come to that, but I will just answer a couple of points............of course it is reported in our press and on our tv about the beheadings (we are not kept in ignorance) and yes we do know about Jihadi John, I believe a few weeks ago he had actually been identified here in London........as far as Muslims taking over the U.K. is concerned we have an excellent intelligence service that are on top of these things, I refuse to worry or get paranoid and I will only read my regular newspapers on the internet that I trust, I do not go looking for other stuff, if we all did that the whole world would be a nervous wreck from what they could find and I don't just mean about Muslims.

Now what else is it I am proud of...........oh! yes I know...............I am very proud of my two daughters in law being members of my family and oh! yes, they just happen to be Muslims, one of whom has been in my family for over 20 years...this next week they will be looking forward to spending Christmas at my home where we have a big family gathering and yes contrary to popular belief they will be greeting everyone with a 'Merry Christmas'...........they will also look forward to exchanging Christmas presents with everyone and also partaking in the usual Christmas dinner.............and oh! horror of horrors they will also imbibe on one or three or more glasses of wine, you know the alcoholic stuff.

All in all I have a lot to be proud of.
 
I'm proud to be a Canadian, a democratic country in which is still relatively safe to live. Health care provided which does not bankrupt those needing it, adequate government pensions, and four seasons to enjoy.
 
I have visited both; I love Toronto, but not in the winter; and visiting US now is not much fun; getting in and out is really painful...

I would be proud of England too, I can be proud my daddy was born there:) I sure hope I get to visit it one day:)
