I dream, but do monkeys dream?

They dream of sitting in a very large room writing Shakespeare with his fellow monkeys.

I'm 99% sure that dogs dream so I don't see why monkeys and others don't dream too.

Well more than once I would watch my dogs twitching in their sleep and sometimes they would start barking or howling and wake up and look at me it's like "Oh crap I was seen acting strange!"

So yeah monkeys probably have dreams probably of other monkeys when they were swinging in the trees and stuff like that. Foods they've eaten and I don't know if they've had dreams where something so fantastic is beyond their comprehension.

Like one time I dreamed that I was in a space suit watching three planets go by me on a space station. Now obviously I've never been in space never want to go in space and obviously we're not advanced enough to have that nor do we have three planets flying by us....

Why I dreamed it I don't have a clue but I'm pretty sure it had to do with some alcohol pizza and dip plus the chips. .

Absolutely as probably do many other higher animal species, all of which require sleep time in which brain chemical systems refresh chemical homeostasis conditions and remove waste chemicals. And during that sleep, brains are internally active at times detectable with magnetoencephalography machines and functional magnetic resonance imaging machines that is very different than when no active fields after an anesthethia injection. Probably white lab rats are most often used.
