I Envy People Who...

We all have those things we wish we could do, or qualities or talents we wish we had. Just curious what everyone's might be.

I envy people who can dance. As much as I love music, and I've played in bands (drums and guitars), it's never translated to the dance floor. My son once said I looked like Frankenstein, only stiffer. LOL.

I am a dancer..I've been a dancer almost all of my life...

I am a very keen photographer.. not trained, but I love it....

I am a fair weather musician..I can play Cello.. and I'm currently learning the Piano keyboard and the Ukelele...

I envy people... who can create things.. like dressmakers .. hairdressers etc.....I cannot do that..

I envy those who follow through and complete their projects. I blame some of my unfinished business on health, depression and age but it would feel so good if I could wrap up some of these loose ends.
At 73 no kid yet great health other then some minor right hip arthritis , no depression ever BUT not the testosterone of the past so last year or so more procrastination .

For two years have wanted to sell my house yet kicking the can down the road as far as what state I like and what is going to happen is a monster hurricane is going to make me pay dearly for my procrastination.

you need to tell yourself that as each year goes by your body will get weaker, and possibly sorer, so you're going to make it very difficult for yourself , if you don't make a decision soon...

..what about New Hampshire ?.. I've heard that it nice there ...:D

I do not like snow / ice but had enough of 6 months of every other storm a potential hurricane .

I am looking at N.C or KY .

'' you need to tell yourself that as each year goes by your body will get weaker''

I disagree , lol

I also envy people who can cook and who actually enjoy it! I can do some phenomenal reheating but that's pretty much it.
I recon that I'm a pretty decent cook, and enjoy cooking. Sometimes it's nice to dine out, but I resent paying for a meal when I know I could produce a better one at a fraction of the cost.

I envy people who have a good singing voice.

takes years of practice I started in wot was euphemistically called a "loony bin" back in the day but don;t think I went loony just learned to read strange behaviors - sometimes life threatening behaviors??

When I hear Sinead O'Connor singing Nothing Compares 2 U, I think wouldn't it be great to be able to sing like that or, even just a little bit like that. I would love to have a great singing voice. Years ago, I did think of learning to play the guitar or saxophone but, I never did and, sometimes I do regret that as I love music. I can dance though so, I guess I am fortunate to be able to still do that. :)

Oh yes! and languages! I do envy people who can fluently speak several languages.

Ok, fair enough.

So tell me, what talents/skills would you like to have?

Does that make you feel like this topic is more acceptable?

Geez.
Envy has ruined a lot of people's lives. People have killed others because they envied them. The question of envy is misguided, and the more appropriate question posed above.

I don't covet other peoples anything. I appreciate what every person has to offer. Sorry if I can't want what others have @Dave03 . :)
