I gave it up

cigarettes,beer
I started smoking in my teens when a pack was .35,quit 'cold turkey' when a pack cost $1
I use to love to drink Molson Golden{Canadian beer}

Stopped smoking, which was very easy for me, since I only smoked a pack and a half a week. That was in 1993.

In 2005, before my hip replacement surgery, I stopped using Skoal tobacco (aka "dip"). I was feeling a little "tingling" sensation in my lower lip/gun area, so wife and I thought it would be better that I quit. BTW, it didn't bother my wife that I "dipped", because I didn't do it that much. It wasn't like smoking, where people could smell the cigarette smoke, but I did have to spit. Seeing me spit didn't bother my wife either. One bad thing about the old rodeo cowboys, many used either Copenhagen or Skoal. Some even used Red Man. Heck, I've even met some women who "dipped". Some would call that disgusting, but to those that live in parts of Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, Oklahoma...…...it's pretty normal to see men and women "chewing" or "dipping".

I’ve been wracking my brain
Can’t think of a thing I’ve given up

Moderation? Yeah

But not complete cessation

Still glad

Hmmm. I can't think of anything. I never smoked, thank goodness. And I have an occasional drink that I enjoy so no plans to give that up.

A couple weeks before Lent started this yr,I gave up drinking Cranberry Juice with my lunch.
I had been drinking the juice for many yrs,I don't miss it,won't buy it again
I have a glass of V8 or choc milk instead

Quit my two pack a day smoking in 1993. Still miss it sometimes.
Quit all sugary foods a few years ago, lost weight, felt good.
Then last Christmas, I thought I would take a break from it and have sweets over the holidays.
Still off the wagon, gained weight, feel bad.

Smoking, after I woke up one morning and my lung had collapsed....very intense pain. 57 years ago.

Working....it takes up too much of your time. 22 years ago.

Like Aunt Bea,working. Soda,I use to drink a lot of it, now I only have a few cans on hand for company. Candy, How I love candy. I'm trying but I'm weak. I already stole some chocolate bunnies from my Grandsons Easter basket. I knew I shouldn't have made it up so early.

Meat. Been a vegetarian since Nov 1984. This is one of two decisions I've made in my life that I've never regretted, the other one is divorcing my serial cheater husband back when I was 24.

Are you sure you want to do that? After a bad bladder infection decades ago my doctor told me to drink one cup of cranberry juice (not the mixed ones) every day for bladder health. If I run out and don't have it for a few days I start feeling that burning sensation again. You might not have any problems, though, everyone is different.

Google. Never use them anymore after learning how a person's privacy means nothing to them. Now when I go from place to place online, the ads they stick me with have nothing do with anything I've recently viewed because they don't know my preferences anymore. No more spying. It's such a liberating feeling to use stealth search engines that respect a person's privacy rather Google where everything is about advertising and corporate profits - theirs.
