Finally leaving for Connecticut tomorrow. Just an over night stay but we haven't been away for awhile. Looking forward to dinner out. We don't do that unless we travel, spending a little time and a little money,very little, in the Foxwood Casino. I hope the leaves are hanging on for photos. The reason for this thread, does anyone know if there are any moose in Connecticut? I have seen so many different animals on our trips out west to visit our daughter,but not one moose.
 

Sounds like a lovely trip. I hope you get some great Autumn pictures of trees. I have never been to CT. I heard it was very pretty though.

I have had other people tell me that they have seen moose in CT, but I do not think there are a lot of them. If you are talking about the social clubs labeled "Moose Lodge", then yes, there are Moose Lodges in CT also.
 
I've lived in CT my whole life and have no idea if we have moose or not. Shameful, I know.

Ruth the casinos are quite distance from where I am or else I'd buy you lunch up here near Hartford! I hope you have a safe and fun trip!
 
I think moose prefer the huge wilderness areas of the west. I don't know if there are any on the east coast; I've never seen one here. Plenty of deer, though. :)
