I imagine octopus and calamari are rubbery, I don't know why. Snails were definitely rubbery/chewy, good thing the garlic and the oil made them easy to swallow.
Venison I had was made into chili. It was pretty tasty with all those spices. Buffalo was as a burger, surprised it tasted as good as it did.
I think the calamari turns me off because of its appearance. But, I would try it.
Ostrich, oh, to think of the cuteness I don't know if I would eat it, but would if presented. Kangaroo, probably a no. It took me a long time to eat duck and goose, duck very fatty.
When I was young I had one of those slide projectors with an accompanying record. We would go in the dark hallway and play the record while looking at the slides enlarged on the end of the wall. We were so dramatic and tried to scare each other with the giant squid and octopus slides! If I hadn't seen this thread I might not have remembered that, good times.
