I need advice on raising a Husband !

A man will never grow up if he has access to 'breast feeding'.............I'll get my coat....:D

Sassy - maybe puttering around is how he relaxes. I know some people like your husband - being busy is where they find their joy. As long as he isn't insisting that you keep pace with him you might want to accept that this is what works for him.

Did it ever occur that doing something constructive & always thinking of what to do IS relaxing. The only difference I experience now when planning & doing something . If I don't complete it when I expected to I don't stress over not getting it done. AND my wife is happy either way.

Before I ask for any advice I would like to introduce you to my Husband.View attachment 66517 You would think after 53yrs of marriage I wouldn't need advice, but unfortunately I do. We have had some very busy days this week. First on Tuesday they had a banquet for him for all he did for the community we lived in until a year ago. Wednesday my grandson graduated from college and we attended the graduation. Thursday my grandson had a Graduation party and we went to that, and we got home late. So today I said he should just relax. Well that didn't go over good. So first he insisted on cleaning the basement. Then he decided to power wash the front of the house. Then he decided to do some patch work on the drive way. He just got finished mowing the lawn and came inside. He was sitting about 5 minutes when he fell asleep. Can anyone tell me how to convince a man to relax. You would think I would have figured it out by now.

Welcome to my world. He is getting his knees replaced soon so we`ll see how that`s gonna go-he is NOT one to sit in a chair....
