Dang - this is the second saddest thing that I have read today. My grand-daughter (who I haven't seen in two years) is supposed to fly in from California next week. What am I left with - waving to her? "Hi, nice to see you from 6 feet away." I'm a hugger, too. Perhaps I will throw caution to the wind and then spray us both down with disinfectant. Not being able to hug him when I left felt like a physical ache, and I cried a little.
One of the many casualties of this current situation with Covid-19 is physical contact. I am and always have been a very tactile person. I hug, touch, pat, give lots of hugs and kisses to the grands and step grands, always hug my kids and step kids hello and goodbye, some of my clients too (the ones who have become like family I've been working for them for so long) I just....it's just my way.
Ron and I still hug and kiss of course. But I'm keeping my distance from everyone else for both our sakes. And it's really, really hard. I dropped some stuff off at my son's house yesterday. Not being able to hug him when I left felt like a physical ache, and I cried a little.
I'm really struggling with this, more than any other aspect of the virus so far other than my heightened anxiety.![]()
Yes, we don't go at this time, but betting we will once again once in a while when "this too in time passes"!Be careful.
I’m missing my hugs and kisses with my friends too !
Same here. I can't go without hugging my partner despite social distancing.I will admit it, I cheat and sneak in several hugs with my wife every day.
hugs is the last thing we all need to be worried about imo…...if it means it helps you not get so be it
Well huggin was the last thing on my mind today, just glad to have her with me and what a day....my kids gone home a nervous wreck !
First my turkey crown, defrosting in the fridge, leaked, I had to get all the shelves, salad cooler etc out, it even dripped down into the freezer, wipe it all out with kitchen roll, and again with hot soapy water
With the dinner plates, on top of the oven to warm, I turned the wrong hob on and the underneath plate exploded, I wondered what the smell was just before it went up....
oh dear wren......i shouldn't laugh really, you defiantly know how to entertain.....![]()

Then after, I’d washed up and we were having a cuppa, the breeze blew my curtain in, it caught the roasting tin in the drainer and sent it flying, she nearly jumped off the settee, I was crying with laughter, she’s gone home to have a lie down in a darkened room![]()
of course you must hug your partner if you both wish.. only if one of you has the virus you mustn't hug each other.. but even if you have no symptoms you mustn't hug any friends or family members who don't live in your home.. remember social distancing stand at least 3 feet apart ( 6 feet if there's any sign of someone having cold symptoms)Same here. I can't go without hugging my partner despite social distancing.
ronni '' please dont assume that iam not tactile - it's more of common sense' and if you was isolating your selfs you have no
worries , can hug away !!!! I am sure your kids understand the seriousness of this virus !
