I STILL Dream of Jeannie!

R.I.P. With Us In Spirit Only
Most people remember Barbara Eden as the trouble-making genie in I Dream of Jeannie. I always had a crush on her (along with, I suspect, most of the male gender), so it's nice to see that at 78 she's STILL a knock-out ...

She's still active as well - she's appearing in the hit comedy "Social Security" in Kansas City, Missouri ...

... and she's scheduled to appear at a pop culture expo in Australia this Spring.

Go Barb! :love_heart:

Holy Crow - I didn't think Barbara Eden is 78! My gosh that woman looks beyond fantastic!

Go Barb is right!:eek:nthego:

Also, that adorable trouble-making Betty White just turned 91! She's got that new show "off your rocker", along with weekly scenes in "Hot In Cleveland", plus she still makes guest appearances on the night time talks shows! I don't have an inth of her energy.

These two women surely are part of the "Super Agers" group that was talked about on TV a few weeks back:triumphant:

EDITED TO ADD: I just took a good look at Barbara Eden's hands - those do NOT look like hands that belong to anyone in their 70's -- or their 60's --- maybe not even someone in their 50's!

And as always I question whether it's Nature or Nuture or a little of both ... I haven't done any research on whether Barb or Betty have ever gone under the surgeon's knife. Maybe they just have good genes ...

But I will say this - I'll be greatly disappointed if either one has. I like my idols to be untouchable.

I loved watching her in I Dream of Jeannie, she was so pretty, I think every young girl wanted to be like her. My hubby said he liked to watch her too. There was a big issue back then because her outfit originally showed her navel, which was a no-no back in those days, so they have to make it come up a little higher for the censors. If she had any face work, I'm sure it was very minor and simple...she had so much beauty to begin with.

I admire older actresses who are not afraid to get in front of the camera and continue acting. They show to the rest of us older women that we still have a lot going for us. I do admire Betty White at age 90, still acting. Although 'I Dream of Jeannie' wasn't my favorite, I do admire Barbara Eden at 78 years, still looking good. And she looks like she still has that bubbly personality.
