ROFLMAO! We used to get... "if you keep picking your nose your finger might grow there".
Another one of moms sayings related to nose-picking... "are you gold mining". LOL!
ROFLMAO!And ....if you pick your nose, your head will cave in
ROFLMAO!
It's funny, but in thinking back on the nose saying, I recall the fear that would flush through me at the thought of going through life with my finger stuck in my nose!
In a kids world everything seems so real.
Laughing so hard reading your post, because it reminds me of how I used to say to my kids (when they were babies), as I'd pluck them up from the floor to take them into the bathroom to change them, "let's go you little stinker"!.....come here ....You Whippersnapper..... .....
ROFLMAO, Charry! Not hard to tell we were raised in the same generation!Yes marg, same as if you pulled a face...you were told if lightning struck, you would stay like that
My mom used to say, "God is bowling".We used to get some dandy thunder storms in my area and we were scared. That rumbling made the dog hide.
My mother said "Don't be afraid, they are just washing clothes in heaven".
I told my son that also.
Similar- grandma used to say 'you won't find gold up there'!!!!!ROFLMAO! We used to get... "if you keep picking your nose your finger might grow there".
Another one of moms sayings related to nose-picking... "are you gold mining". LOL!
Nearly same as me from grandma but it was ' if the wind changes..........Yes marg, same as if you pulled a face...you were told if lightning struck, you would stay like that
"Before you say something, ask yourself 'Is it kind? Is it true? Is it necessary?'. If you can't honestly answer 'yes' to at least two of these, then don't say it." My grandfather told me that. He also lived it.
