I thought this was interesting

New Mexico is #48. i've lived a lot of places including some 18 yrs in Wyoming. Moved here on purpose in 2012 and very happy with the decision. Didn't watch whole thing cause have chores to get done today, but this guy looks at fewer stats than he should, and doesn't consider that most of state is rural-farms and ranches, small towns speckled between National and State lands AND Reservations. Looking just at median income and housing costs gives a small part of picture.

Yes we have state income tax, but guess what seniors who are property owners get substantial tax credits. (Mine pretty much cover our property taxes--which i split with daughter since her name on the deed). But also a lot of income (statewide added together, not a lot for each individual) likely does not get reported due to being cash transactions (Firewood delivery, septic cleaning some 'handyman' stuff). i have mixed feelings about that. But that would be getting too close to 'politics' to detail.

Totally agree about his voice--tho for me it was more his delivery style, tone. Some YT narrators it's the pitch as well. Fortunately in my youth i watched a lot of foreign movies and became accustomed to subtitles. So when my hearing got to that point where i had trouble focusing on one voice if lots of background noise and lost some of higher pitches (a blessing cause from childhood i had a broader range of hearing than most) i was able to use closed captions with ease.

i lived in Santa Fe in mid 70s, my sons born there. When i was getting ready to retire from UW i wanted to live rural again ( Laramie was getting too big for me). My son, DIL and grandson had moved to AZ for her job. But that state too hot for me among other things. A friend of the friend who helped me buy this house recommended Cuba. i researched online and came to look at some places--fell in love with my property, the views:

NYS came in #20, didn't surprise me Where I live here in Buffalo,its less expensive than NYC.Yes we get more snow than other places in the state but we deal with it.I'm always amused when I hear/read of other cities in different states who go 'beserk' when they have 2 inches of snow on the ground
