I was called a bully today :(

Actually, you sound more like the victim of bullying rather than being a bully yourself. I always find it interesting when these things happen, a crowd of people all jumping in to 'protect' another person from perceived bullying. The very essence of 'irony'.

I totally agree. You were the victim of bullying. It is not at all uncommon for a clique to form and they all protect each other. The same thing happens to me from time to time. A person says something that others disagree with and a whole gang of others hound a person until they either keep quiet or run off. I know it's difficult at times when you are one person against a gang.

No you are not a bully. I have a friend on FB who has also clued a man in about doing that. He has a lot to say and wants people to read his long posts but it's damned near impossible the way they are written. I have told him about it too. He thanked us and said he'd try to do better, which he has done. She should be thankful that you mentioned it in a kind way. She sounds like a big baby.

I find that today many folks are so serious about everything. Write a tongue-in-cheek post and someone immediately finds fault in what you say. As for your being called a bully, well, I figure as long as I'm not called late for dinner all is well. You did not bully anyone and it's too bad you felt like you had to leave due to some thin skinned person who, apparently, has no clue how to post anything....Just hope that this doesn't happen on here.

There's a lot of hatred and anger in the world today. Some come online to let it all out on faceless people but forget they have hearts. It's not you, it's them.

Once you grasp that you can let it go.

Each moment you hold on to that hurt are moments just wasting your precious time that could have been filled with love and joy.

I don't call out the poster directly, but normally follow up a post requesting the presence of the 'paragraph police' to join in the discussion...

Just a thought -- wonder if the poster was being passive-aggressive? Or perhaps doesn't handle online "conversation" well -- sometimes it "sounds" harsher than it was at all meant to be. Too bad you felt you had to leave the group, but there are many more out there :D
Btw -- quilting? Have you posted any pics of your projects here? :eagerness:

I haven't posted any pictures here...didn't think anyone would be interested :)

Sorry for delayed reply -- I've turned off the auto-emails to keep inbox to a minimum -- my bad.
You never know which others are also interested in quilting arts, so you might want to post photos in your diary! I would consider myself a rank beginner in the quilting world (and in gardening for that matter, but love the new learning ); the "specific" craft forums seem to be way far ahead of me -- here, it's friendlier and more interactive. Please do send me a PM if you post pics :)
