I wonder if will Air Force One be equipped with transgender bathrooms

Transgender toilets on a plane? I haven't even seen toilets designated men or women. It's everyone in but only one at a time.

What an incredibly odd question. What was it's purpose?

I believe the purpose was to mock the action of the President in his support for little girls who want to use urinals and teenaged boys who want to shower with the girls. In fact, this issue was so important to him that he would withhold education financing if he didn't get his way.

That is a completely idiotic statement, do you have any kind of legitimate news link to support this allegation?

Moving along, a unisex toilet would look like this:

For men: lift the lid and seat for a #1.

For women: lower the seat for all your business.

Thanks Ray.

By the way, have you taken the time to read the best practices guide that the school principals requested?

The Obama administration also released a best-practices guide, along with the letter and blog post.
"In fact, just this week, the National Association of Secondary School Principals called for the Department to release guidance and best practices on creating an inclusive and respectful environment," the blog post will say. "Schools want to do right by all of their students and have looked to us to provide clarity on steps they can take to ensure that every student is comfortable at their school, is in an environment free of discrimination, and has an opportunity to thrive."

Warrigal - and then there is this (for those who "took the time to read..."):

"The Education Department’s Office for Civil Rights specifically mentioned that transgender students are protected under Title IX when it issued guidance in April 2014 on school districts’ obligations regarding sexual violence and harassment. But advocates have been clamoring for guidance that specifies how the administration interprets Title IX as applying to transgender students".

Note - "April 2014". Naturally, seeing that, school leaders were concerned with what they had to do to avoid losing federal funds for education.

As I read it, it was about privacy requirements being met where necessary and making those same arrangements available to all students rather than singling out just transgender students. I don't see a problem with this guideline.

Well, the following statement taken from your link:

The Obama administration Friday morning took another historic step in its aggressive defense of civil rights, sending a letter to schools across the country notifying them that transgender students must be permitted to use bathrooms that align with their gender identity.

....sounds very reasonable to me. It is a far cry from the lunatic phrase, taken from your post(#6 in this thread) that read:

support for little girls who want to use urinals and teenaged boys who want to shower with the girls.

In the several "bathroom" threads that have appeared on this forum, I have always asked, "who is going to enforce the anti-transgender laws....who is going to check to see if people entering the restroom are using the restroom designated for the gender that they were born with??? Will everyone have to carry a [certified]copy of their birth certificate to prove their gender???

Transgender people have been quietly using public restrooms ever since their were transgender people.

The whole issue would not be in the Public conversation had it not been for some very close minded folks, with way too much time on their hands.

No problem - a perfectly reasonable approach.

Actually, no. The entire issue is on the front pages because of activists (MeckPAC) in search of a cause and a President that just had to get involved.
