If A Wild Animal Could Be Domestic Which One Would You Have?

Depends on who would be paying for his food. I like lions & tigers, but 10 - 20 lbs of meat per day?
It was hard enough keeping my Boa Constrictor fed when he grew up. When I got him at 3 ft, it was a small mouse once a week.
At 6 ft, it was a huge rat. At 12 ft, it was 3-4 rats per week. I didn't have the heart to feed him rabbits, so I gave him to the zoo.

I would love a raccoon for my in-home pet account it's friendliness and cuteness.

For outside the home and for personal protection, a wolverine.

And if I were to run a daycare out of my home, I'd have a couple of baby elephants.

I suppose it would depend on where I was when I wanted a wild animal or needed one and the circumstances.
If now as is, I wouldn't want any. If in some severe invironment, perhaps alone where survival might be at stake,
I'd like a large wolf. He would get his own food and help me get mine. And his own survival and attack instincts
would aid in my own survival.

A bobcat, lynx or snow leopard. Just a fantasy, though. I also don't believe in having a wild animal as pets. I do not patronize zoos or circuses, either.
The last visit we made to a zoo was back in the late 80's. It was so depressing I cried. The enclosures were way too small, the animals looked stressed, and a few even looked like they had lost their minds.

I left full of anger, depressed, and bent on never entertaining the likes of visiting another zoo for as long as I live.

Zoos are despicable, sickening.

I never liked zoos either, even as a kid. I've never been and never would go to a circus. I've never thought animals existed for my entertainment. I'll stick with our 'domesticated' ones. My tabby thinks she's a mini tiger anyway.

In my dreams, an otter but I know I couldn't give it the environment it truly desires. :(
