If I were to break into your house

As far as I am aware, the majority of privately owned guns in Canada are long guns for the purpose of hunting. Also, very strict laws as to how and where guns can be moved from one’s house. Law enforcement can stymie people from getting a registered gun if they are viewed as a threat.

In the previous literature review, the author indicated that about 25 percent of Canadian households own some sort of firearm (Gabor, 1994: 9). recent Department of Justice Canada report indicated that, based on the combined findings of several studies, 26 percent may be the most reliable figure (See Block, 1998:3). In total, it is estimated that about 3 million civilians in Canada own firearms.

Many Americans own multiple guns though.

Many, many Americans would like to see far stricter gun control laws, myself included.

I'd say the department of justice is grossly out of touch with reality. Few households we know of here in Canada are without a long gun.

Very encouraging knowing that many Americans are in favour of stricter gun laws. If I were in charge there'd be a whole lot of wet eyes in the USofA.

Kleenex sales would be WAY up.

I think all of this is very wise. The US could certainly benefit from Canada's gun examples.

I’m actually pleasantly surprised. I thought it was ‘much’ higher so thanks for the correction. In the past you’ve often posted about your concern for the gun laws in your country. It’s reassuring knowing others feel the same.

Ive never been fond of having stuff on top of our fridge. For a while we put our bananas up there to ripe. There couldn’t have have been a worst spot for them. One can’t see the bananas rotting: just the fruit flies .....🥺lol
