If Iran Talks Fail, Iran Will Likely Become a Nuclear Power

Good article . And didn't Obama say "sanctions don't work" after 55 years of sanctions against Cuba? Iran has another 20years to go before a future president may finally admit it again? If the sanctions last at all according to the links author.

I just remembered something else: didn't the US and Canada vote against a proposed bill by the UN to work toward a nuclear free ME, which included Israel allowing access for inspection of it's nuclear program? Israel of course has refused. Even Iran was going to attend the conference in Helsinki that was being organized by the US, Russia and Britain before it was cancelled (due to lack of interest on the parts of some). So much double-speak from some of the parties it seems.

My own stupid government didn't even speak out against Israel's decision to continue building settlements on Palestinian lands in advance of continuing peace efforts, which I believe the US has spoken against occasionally. Governments: by the people and for anyone who fits the head honcho's sociological/religious ideals (and to heck with anyone else). Do I sound cynical? Yeah, just a little.
