If they made a scented candle that smelled like your hometown, what would it smell like?

Sadly, Pappy, McLaughlins just went out of business😢
I just moved in December to the senior apartments in the old school on West Main St.
Gee, maybe you are in my old home room. I spent 7th grade and up in that building. So many memories there. Machine shop and band in the basement. My brother lives on East Main next to fairgrounds. Great memories of the old Norwich. Now, I hear drugs are a very serious problem there.

Yes, unfortunately

Growing up my hometown smelled like Buitoni pasta sauce. The canning factory was right next to my grammar school. When the teacher opened the windows, no AC back then, the smell would waft in. Sometimes it was hard to concentrate right before lunchtime.
Where I live now it smells like fresh air but if you go through town on certain days it smells like chocolate or roasted peanuts. from the large M&M plant nearby..

Honey. During the 1905 World's Fair, Uvalde, in the Texas Hill Country, was honored as the Honey Capital of the World. According to an article by Susan L. Ebert in the Texas Parks & Wildlife magazine, “In the 1870s, pioneer settlers discovered hollow trees and caves brimming with bees and honey.6bd8cbfcf540f1465a846d40f94f49d4[1].jpg

It depends what part of my home town one would represent. Lots of car and bus exhaust fumes stink OR sweet grass and pine trees. I'd like the pine tree smell myself, and in the summer - the heady perfume of flowers of all varieties. It can be heaven or hell here. 🤗
