If you’re a cowboy, do you need a truck to go with the hat and cowboy boots?

This reminds me of a joke from long ago:

A small boy was on vacation with his family in a Wyoming town. While he was standing in front of a store a man on a horse rode up, and dismounted. The little boy looked up and asked him if he was a REAL Cowboy. The cowboy smiled at the youngster and told him he sure was a REAL cowboy.

The boy asked him why his hat was so big. The cowboy told him he spends long days out on the ranch in the hot sun and he needs a large brimmed had to protect him from the sun.

What's that around your neck. That's my bandana the cowboy said. I can use it to cover my face when the wind is blowing something fierce or as a sweat band, sometimes I even use it as bandage if I've cut myself.

What are those the youngster asked, pointing at the cowboy's chaps. Those are chaps, they protect my legs from the thick brush I have to ride through when I'm herding calves.

Looking down the little boy seemed puzzled by the bright baby blue Adidas track shoes. What are those for the youngster asked.

That's so you can tell the cowboys from the truck drivers.
