If you are over 85 years old, do you feel tired all the time?

Fatigue seems to grow as age advances. At 86 I'm always pooped by 1 pm. If I don't take a nap then, I can barely function. I wonder if others have the same problem?

I am 91 Widow in good health so far, still driving. I've taken a nap almost every day of my life, when home in the afternoon.
I can't say it's from fatigue just a habit, I nap about 20 min, get up and have coffee.
I get tired and have to set down a few minutes when I make my bed, especially when changing it, and jobs like that.
If I walk to far my legs get so tired, I have to set down. I agree with you "Fatigue seems to grow as age advances"
I started Tap dancing at age of 59 for17 yrs. every week, but now balance is effy, guess it didn't completely
help.

At 82 I don't have the energy of 22, so I don't try to do as
much...am I tired all the time, no, but I don't overdo anything either for the most part....being upright is a big strain on me
so I am usually sitting down.......

I'll be 69 next month. Sometimes I'm surprised at how much energy I have & I'll do a bunch of stuff.
But the next day, I'm equally surprised at how tired & achy I am.
It makes me think back 20 years when a typical day was:
Get up early, clean the house.
Wash the car.
Exercise.
Shoot 400 rounds at the range.
Date.
More....exercise after the date. 😁

Discovered that I was short on oxygen when I lie down--since getting supplemental at night I am much less tired during the day. Just wore a thing on my finger to test it overnight, did not require a sleep study somewhere else.

I'm 86 also. I have a C-pk that has 2 L of oxygen attached to it when I sleep. I feel great when I get up. Then as noon rolls around I have to take a nap with the C-pk on. When I wake up about an hr. later I'm still groggy & tired.

I'm 79 and on days I have a lot of energy I tend to blow it all in a burst and then the next day I'm tired and don't sleep well. I have to get my self to be more moderate on days like that.

I'm 72 and do feel tired much of the time but ...... I'm not sure it is all just physical . I sometimes think it is also just a loss of enthusiasm . Pain & mobility issues keep me from doing most of what I used to do, add to that the lack of social circle [people to do things with/visit,etc] As such I just do not feel like doing things ......... Another reason [as i mentioned] about two weeks back , I hired a cleaning lady. I just do not feel like doing it any longer ......... emotionally & or physically.

I have trouble sleeping, getting only 4-5 hours a night. I get up at 5 AM and am tired and fatigued by 10AM. I'm a mess. I try to nap around 2 pm but that fails too. As I said, I'm a mess.

I'm not 85 or older but feel tired much of the time. Other things besides age can cause fatigue. Physical problems or illnesses or depression can make a person feel so tired. I have depression and an illness that probably makes me feel like I'm 90 although I'm 64.

@80 usually get up around 5:30 a/m to go walking in the park with my wife. Makes no difference if the temp is 32 or 92. Somewhere around 2 p/m I take a short nap. Not tired just got used to an afternoon nap way back when I could grab a quick afternoon nap in my office.
