A not-quite restaurant because it would only be drive-thru to pick up orders, called The Filling Station and located in an old...well...filling station! Only open Monday through Friday from 3pm until 7pm and geared toward customers picking up supper on their way home from work (or in these WFH days, to dash out and pick up supper).
There'd be a featured complete dinner each day and customers could order according to how many people would be at table at suppertime. They'd order online and could choose from either "What's for Supper" or "Souper Supper". Souper Supper would be a soup of the day or chili. I'd publish the following week's menu online on Saturday and accept orders up until about 10 am the day of.
The meals would be ordinary dinners that people really do make at home...pot roast, meatloaf, spaghetti & meatballs, enchiladas, fried chicken, Salisbury steak, stuffed peppers, pork chops, etc...and would include appropriate veggies.
Soups? Steak soup and crusty French bread, veggie soup and onion bread, chili and cornbread, broccoli/cheese soup and garlic bread, Mexican potato soup with warm flour tortillas...
