I was asked this question at the weekend by a friend who has received a gift of £200 in a Will with the instruction to treat herself to something. We went through quite a few suggestions; a ring, maybe a necklace or a watch or, perhaps a nice day out somewhere, lottery tickets, something for her home. Eventually, she liked the idea of a make-over for her balcony and will be buying a fancy bird feeder, plants, pots etc. I think it's a lovely way to remember someone.
So, imagine if you were gifted £200 and told to buy yourself something, what would you choose? Would it be something practical but useful or something frivolous which you would never have bought otherwise or would it be a night out, a nice meal perhaps or would you put the money away until you actually needed something? Maybe none of these things appeal to you so, what would it be?
