If you had to teach something...

I'm a lifelong fan of crossword puzzles.
In the late 70's,early 80's when I was working at a local law office, one of the partners told me about the daily NYTimes puzzle,he did his in pen.In the beginning,I couldn't finish any they were hard, since I liked a challenge,I was hooked,I still do Mon&Tue always in pencil, can usually finish both.Once in awhile,I surprise myself by getting Weds. The puzzles get harder as the week goes on
I would teach how do these puzzles Sue

Since the late 70's up until about 5 yrs. ago, I volunteered teaching English As A Second Language. The first classes were when I lived in Niagara Falls, and there were mainly Vietnamese boat people. Later, it was Level 1 teens in my daughter's high school. After that, it was government funded classes that helped women enter or re-enter the work-force. It was very gratifying to be part of these women's learning experience. It was a learning experience for me, watching them study so hard to improve themselves, and hear their stories. Many were from China .. also, India, Middle East, Russia, Africa and I'm sure I've left out a few countries. They were lively and had a lot of spirit. Unfortunately, the program was shut down due to mismanagement that nobody saw coming.
