I'm beyond consolation....

Oh Katy I am so relieved for you all.

First thing I did was get on here and look for this thread. Phew!

I have no child rearing advice, but I like the idea of withholding her presents or making her donate some of her presents to charity. And maybe you and her can find some nice grim documentaries about what happens to runaways on the mean streets!

I just want to say your daughter is so lucky to have you to help sort this all out, she has been through so much herself.

One of those monitoring ankle bracelets might not be such a bad idea, either ...

I'm just glad I had two boys - girls would have given me a heart attack.

Just read this thread Katy and so glad it turned out that she is home safe and sound. I feel for your family - going through any illness is not pleasant and extra trauma from teenagers can't be helping. Although I don't know your whole story, I can relate in a small way. When my son was in his teens, he and his friends had a band and practices took place in my basement. The mother of one of the boys was going through cancer and this boy turned into the kid from hell. He just couldn't cope with the thought of losing his mother and didn't know how to express that. To make a long story short - he and the rest of his family went through some counselling and it really helped. He is now all grown up and his Mom is still with us and they all appreciate each other and get along. Just a thought........

Katybug, after reading your post,I am so glad to see your G daughter was found safe and well.

I can't say it enough....Heartfelt thanks to each and every one of you wonderful members who supported me through one of the worst times I can remember. Your caring meant more than I can ever say!:love_heart:

I'm so very relieved for you.
I can't even begin to imagine how you felt when she was missing.
