I'm Packing Up My Apartment. I'm Not Moving Now However.

Are you actively looking for an apartment. Or have you been? I can't follow all that's posted here on the forum, so may have missed it if you posted about doing so. I sincerely hope you can find someplace you like and feel comfortable in Remy. That's so important for peace of mind.
It's OK, I can't always keep up with everything either. No a mobile in a park and I had one but let it go because of a stupid scare that I could have easily fixed once I owned it. My agent didn't help me one bit. If something comes up that is not hers or in her office, I'm going to go with the listing agent. She's very nice but I'm done with her.

I save myself grief by believing that things happen as they are supposed to even if it was not according to my plan. Yesterday is history. Accept and move on.
I've made so many stupid mistakes I'm worried they are supposed to happen to me.

My fear is, I'll pack this stuff up and sit here for years with boxes. I've never really felt at home or settled anywhere. My childhood was not a home. I call those dwellings hell houses.

Does your real estate agent call you when she finds something or do you have to call her first. Maybe she doesn’t feel you will buy so doesn’t want to put any effort in. If you feel she’s not being proactive, move on. She has the wrong attitude.

What exactly is a villa? Do you have a garden in your backyard? Do you like your new neighbours?

Maybe Remy might find a villa?
Good luck Remy?
Hi Patty: We call a Villa a small residence with all mod cons with a small yard. There are 11 Villas where I live and my neighbours are from many different countries. Although it has 2 bedrooms it's the perfect place for me as my son who lives in Melbourne comes to visit about every 4/5 months. The neighbours are either friendly or not, I get along with anybody and always wish them g'day when I see them. There is a small yard.
with potted plants, managed to lay all the bark myself, whew., that was a hard job. You can do anything when you put your mind to it.

You managed to lay all the bark? Can you elaborate a bit on that. Does this mean you have no lawn to mow?

Hi Patty, Yes there was no lawn in the yard only clay with lots of weeds. I decided to remove the weeds and bought 36 bags of bark from the local nursery and huge sheets of plastic. After it was all laid, which took me 2 weeks, I then proceeded to fill my large pots with lovely plants. It has now been 10 years since I did this so I'm thinking about putting some more bark down and making the place look a little better. It's hard work but I enjoyed every minute of it. I'm now 10 years older and it will take me a little longer to do it.

It sounds lovely. Bark landscaping looks nice when it’s well cared for. Weeds pull out easily. Big pots filled with flower or ornamental grass looks classy. I think I’d prefer a villa when we downsize. We upsized instead.

You sound like you really enjoy where you live. That’s fabulous. Everyone should enjoy where they live.
