I'm Terrified of My New (Smart) TV, Scared to Turn It On...You Would Be Too!

I have a smart blu-ray player, I rarely use it's features, I don't even play blu-ray dvd's on it just the regular ones. A couple of years ago, I almost did get the smart tv instead. My roku box has enough features to keep me busy enough and the other tv can easily be connected to the net if need be. I probably will make more use of some of these features once I cut my cable cord after the fall winter season ends. :D

More insight into these things, I don't have one, and don't intend to get one in the future...http://jimmarrs.com/news_events/new...scared-to-turn-this-thing-on-and-youd-be-too/

in front of the TV.You may not be watching, but the is listening

Things like the "smart" tv are just a matter of time imo. It's all about control over the people. I've seen kookie movies that are coming true today, like one called Sliver. The owner of this highrise apt. building had cameras in "every" room of every apt. and was watching all his tenants for entertainment, so creepy:(

I remember that movie. Pervs have been doing that sort of thing now for years, we've had people get arrested for having cameras set up in tanning booths, dressing rooms, apt complex and such on the news here in Florida and other states. People will use any opportunity afforded them to snoop or take pervy pics or video clips without permission.

I like that idea Butterfly. I wonder if there will come a time when "we" can pick the channels we want in our package. I'd have a small package of about 5 stations. I can only imagine how much they would charge for that, a custom-designed package. Can't win for losing:(

I'm still amazed at the naivety of people, drones are safe no one would think of hacking into control them, the computer in your car is safe some 16 YO hacker has no desire to remotely control your car while traveling down the freeway at 60 miles an hour, the newer HD TV's have monitoring chips that create a profile of your viewing habits and internal cameras can not be hacked to monitor your valuables, or for that matter won't be watching if you and the wife get fooling around in the bedroom.

The government will not monitor your phones calls or track your whereabouts when on a trip via your cell phone or auto computer chip.

I see that Walmart has decided to price match Amazon and no one would have thought that unscrupulous web designers are creating fake web pages with much lower price quotes than Wally. The world is not a Walgreen world anymore.
