In appreciation of menfolk

When I see an image like this one I feel very appreciative of menfolk.
Where would we be without their physical and moral strength in times of peril, and in the aftermath?

This photo is of men recovering a body from the devastating fires in California.
I am in awe of what they are doing and how they are doing it.

I think this is what angels look like.
Not childlike cherubs with tiny wings but big strong men who show up when needed.

Whoever you are, gentlemen, I am grateful that you came to help.
It is not an easy task, nor a pleasant one.

They truly have a difficult job, and do it with strength and grace.

Hear ! Hear!! Couldn't agree more.. !!

Of course there's women who do the same job and I'm just as in awe and grateful to them too..but as this is about men, I'm definitely proud of them as I was with my ex husband who was first in the Royal navy and then when he left the forces, a firefighter... and my nephews who are both currently posted with the Royal Engineers in Iraq

I posted back in July showing appreciation of all the brave firefighters who were battling severe California fires then, now it's November and they are still fighting horrific fires that are even worse than before with a higher death toll. I can't give enough credit to those who fight fires to protect human life, land and property, they are hard working, selfless and brave people, they have my ultimate respect.

May all who lost their lives in these deadly fires rest peacefully, sympathy to all the victims who have suffered and lost so much. :(
