In the News- Another Vaccine

I don't see any of the mainstream media news outlets as REAL news anymore like we had in the days of Walter Cronkite. Their true agenda is to label everything a "crisis" and keep us divided because we are more powerful when we were united. A united populace probably scares them more than anything on Earth.
 
I do not know the truth about this virus or the last one, or the last one, ...etc. I do know I got the flu when I was 64 5 years ago, and felt like I was gonna die. I didn't. Then when COVID started spreading, and the news was filled with horrific pics and stories of people getting it and dying, that was scary for me. To be careful I got the vaccines. I still wear a mask when out in public. Now, there are so many vaccines I need...shingles, tetanus, flu, monkeypox, another covid booster, awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww! I live 20 miles from town on a farm. I am not very inspired to keep going in to town to get shots. It's over $12 to drive to town. My nest egg is starting to dwindle faster than I anticipated.
 

I have no plans to get the monkeypox vaccine. I'm at extremely low risk, so, naaaa... I do need to get a shingles vaccine one of these days, though, if I ever make it in to see a doctor again. And I've been double boosted for covid-19.
 
A couple of points......

Yes, there is a New vaccine being highly publicized....a vaccine for Monkey Pox. This is a vaccine directed at a small segment of society...Homosexual Males. Unless a person is hanging out at gay bars, and socializing closely with the patrons, there is virtually No need to be concerned, or vaccinated.

2. Media is a business...be it televised or printed...it is a business, with profit as its primary driving force. As such, the more sensational the reporting, the more likely the "business" is to capture the attention of its viewers/readers, thus increasing the revenues from its excessive advertisements. If a person wants to be accurately "informed", they must check multiple sources, and try to find the "facts" hidden in the "opinions".
 
If you get a Monkey Pox vaccine, would it stop you from finding the gorilla your dreams? 🙊

…and how about those flying monkeys in the Wizard of Oz? I sure want to be protected from them! 🙈🙀
 
These Covid vaccines seem to be similar to the flu vaccines....which require a different annual shot, as that illness mutates. I suspect this trend will continue for several more years...before a "lasting" vaccine is found. After all, it took several years before vaccines were developed to pretty much eradicate Polio and Smallpox. As Covid seems to be mutating every few months, the need for shots will probably be with us for quite some time.
