Incredibly Shrinking Products

I am sick of going to the store to buy something I have been buying for years and the product is getting smaller and smaller and the price higher and higher. I went to the store to buy coffee yesterday, and it cost $0.20 more and instead of 12 oz. it is now 11 oz.

I bought toilet paper, when my pipes burst. I put it on the holder in my bathroom every time I tried to use it, it flew off the holder. I have a holder that does not have the spring bar in the middle, instead it has 2 little spring holders on each side. I thought what the heck is the problem. I had found a roll I had bought a few weeks prior. I compared it to the new roll and it is a quarter of an inch shorter. Now it won't fit my holder, and I have to buy a new one. I know that prices are increasing, but I am really sick of the products shrinking at the same time.:aargh:

Mars bars do that.....regularly. You used to spread out a Mars Bar over several snacks, now it can be eaten in one go without feeling sick!

Sadly they are doing that with all food products now and even cosmetics, i have looked at a few jars of moisturiser thinking that's a good size jar only to find the bottom goes up in a V so it looks like you are getting a lot but you aren't, very shifty.

And remember when they used to come attached and you had to break them in half yourself , now they come individually wrapped and those singles count as 20!

And I pay $4.99 a box for them and I can eat a box in the course of a day (I have not told anyone this, because it's embarrassing), it would be cheaper if I was into drugs, lol....my Popsicle habit is a bad one!!

I don't think $5 would buy you an awful lot of drugs; maybe they are cheaper in Fresno!

Guess you havnt noticed the lettering on those packages are getting bigger and bigger just make it looks like there's more and more inside.

LOL...CeeCee, first thing you know, you'll be posting from 'Popsicle Rehab'...:)

I recently found a sugarless candy by Russell that I loved and apparently so did everyone else, as it was hard to find..the next thing I know, they had cut the individual pieces in half and there was one less in the bag...so I stopped buying it ...I'll show them...lol

I know what you mean. I used to buy baskin and Robbins sugar free chocolate chip flavored candies...it would fly off the shelf so fast that I had to k ow when the store got its delivery and be there then.

Dont buy them anymore since I've become a sugar free Popsicle addict.

I complain about this a lot.

The shrinking tuna fish can is a classic example. Pretty soon we will need to open 2 cans just to make one sandwich!

When we were kids it was 7 ozs, then it dropped down to 6 oz and now 5.02 oz.

Pay more get less, that's it!

All the orange juices, like Tropicana, have shrunk down from 64oz per bottle to 59oz...and the price keeps going up. The 12oz yogurt containers have shrunk down, bags of dog food weigh less and cost more. Somebody's getting rich, and it sure isn't the consumer! :dollar:

Whew. I thought it was just because we were all getting so much bigger . . .
