More free meals! If they do not require double restitution and additional fines, then this man will not stop.
 
Well do they have universal health care so that he doesn't have to pay for an ambulance? If not, he probably would have come out cheaper to pay the damned restaurant bill. Another WTH are people thinking! He's a POS.

He's got to be a stone cold grifter because how could a normal person enjoy the meal or not get things like indigestion while eating.

Here in Canada, medical treatments are all covered but ambulance rides are not. Private insurance might reimburse but generally speaking it’s about $75. Maybe Spain has free ambulance rides.

Years ago a female cousin of mine went on a diner date with a guy she did not know well. As they were finishing dinner, she noticed he was looking very carefullly at the people in the restaurant. Suddenlily, he leaned over and “There are no staff in the room now. Let’s leave before they bring the bill”. She objected and he replied something to the effect that “OK, then you can stay and pay the bill.” Back then young females did not have much money and certainly not a credit card, so she hustled out with the guy. Later she married him. Just kidding about that! She never went out with the bum again.

PepermintPatty. Here in Ontario, on the Paramedic report form, there are 16 boxes to check that result in no charge to the patient. Some of the reasons why the patient will not be charged are....It is a workplace injury covered by Worker's Compensation, the person is a recipient of general welfare payments, the person is a prisoner in a Provincial or Federal prison, the person is a member of the Canadian Armed Forces, the person is a minor child who is a Ward of the Province, the person is being cared for by the Provincial Guardian's Office, the person is a U.N. refugee claimant.

There are others, that I can't remember right now , since it is about 35 years since I was filling out those forms as an Ambulance attendant, here in Toronto. The current cost for a Paramedic emergency response and transport to a hospital is $45, which is billed to the patient . The actual dollar cost is about $500 per call, but the Ontario Hospital Insurance Plan covers that. The cost to purchase, modify and fully equip ONE Paramedic van is about one hundred and forty thousand dollars. Now add two Paramedics who earn around $45 an hour each , plus the cost to insure, maintain and fuel that one van, and you can see why costs are what they are. JimB.
