Intelligence

I feel intelligent about twenty percent of the time. I feel normal about twenty percent of the time. I feel stupid about twenty percent of the time. With the remaining forty percent of the time, I don't have a clue what happened maybe it falls into the category of dumb luck.

I used to believe people thought the same way as I do. I was mistaken, but seriously, people must be somewhat similar? On the plus side, if people knew what I was really thinking, well, people would know the punch line before it was delivered.
The animated movie "Fantastic Planet" has a scene where planetary inhabitants merge their minds together. What if humans were able to merge together in a singular cloud of awareness. What if minds could travel?

What about the concept of the "hive" mind. Examples abound in nature. For example an ant colony, or a bee hive? They seem to be communicating as a group mind. Maybe we humans ARE also doing this and are unaware of it most of the time. I am thinking about the same breakthroughs in inventions and science happening in different parts of the world at basically the same "time".

This does happen whenever a large group of people gather. One reason why protests are closely monitored. Individuals lose their sense of oneness and become part of a herd. The group becomes a mob and lose control.

Want to seek out intelligence? There is a far better way than the video that began this conversation. There are of course tests, but just take a peek at the employees of companies like Microsoft, Samsung, Intel, and Apple. Just over 5% of the US population is Asian, but 35% of Microsoft employees are Asian. Nobel prizes? 20% awarded to Ashkenazi Jews who make up a fraction of 1% of the worlds population. Could we be dealing here with genetics? I'll leave that to others to decide.

The Intelligent Plant. That is the title of a recent article in The New Yorker — and new research is showing that plants have astounding abilities to sense and react to the world. ... Some plant scientists insist they are — since they can sense, learn, remember and even react in ways that would be familiar to humans.

Herd mentality is following a leader who has convinced a number of people that him or her is better equipped to make decisions than you are.

Considering Microsoft puts out crap, that's not exactly flattering for the Asian community. :ROFLMAO:

That said, Asia consists of many ethnicities. India, Russia, Japan, Iran, and Israel, to name a few, are part of Asia.

Some people considered to be really intelligent lack that ability to fit in with the mob. Sad really because it must be a lonely existence.

The first question for science to ask is "What is earth animal creature mind?", lest one have unbounded imagination to dream about.

Mind is the holistic brain interconnected by fields result of standing waves controlled by the neocortex creature pilot within a field container of flesh with evolved organic reactance structures. A complex mix of lower frequency brain wave oscillating electromagnetic and force fields organic lipid cell wall layer tissue chemistry self drives. Just like a tickling source of periodically coupled current stably drives electronic oscillator circuits. All Earth biology animal cells have a potential difference voltage between the watery extracellular environment and the internal cell with its cell wall. Complexly controlled chemical structures move substances between the outside and inside including various ion pumps moving things like salty chloride ions out and setting up a voltage ion balance.

Much more of course a curious person needs to themselves follow up the science of investing some time and effort. Neuroscience
has made spectacular progress in recent years and we computer users can access large amounts of info at our fingertips while stuffing in salty potato chips.

There's no doubt in my mind that my artificial fern is smarter than a percentage of mankind.

Around here it's pretty much China, Korea, and Japan -- with a few Indians for good measure. I have a Korean neighbor -- husband deceased. She has three daughters -- two have Phd's, and the third only a Masters Degree, poor girl! One of the Phd's is engaged in artificial intelligence research. My ophthalmologist is Chinese, as is my wife's.
