Introducing myself and wondering what your Christmas plans are this year🎄

My wife and I will be hosting a Virtual Christmas Dinner, on Christmas day, for our our friends here on SF. I will be much like our Thanksgiving Dinner (search Thanksgiving Roll Call) only it will be in a larger building, It was getting pretty crowded at Thanksgiving. It will be a lively crowd and there are a few surprises we hope to have. Join us if you can.....
I found your TG celebration, need a shave, and now I am starving 😋. See you 🎄day and thank you for the invite!

Welcome. Sounds like good plans. Not sure yet if I will be staying home or going to visit my niece and her partner for a few days. They live in the next county over from me, and the county is having high numbers. So it is wait and see, if I go, it would just be the three of us..and their two dogs

Hi! My name is Kathleen, from Wisconsin, and so happy I found this forum ❤️
Have your 🎄Christmas plans changed this year due to the virus? We have always spent Christmas Eve with our two kids and families who live in our town, but no indoor celebration this year 😥. SO, I AM STARTING A NEW TRADITION!!!!! This year we will be celebrating
🎄Christmas Eve 🎄 under the stars ⭐️ and I, for one, am excited about it!!! (I think I’m the ONLY excited one at this point, but they will come around 😉). We are going to have a big bonfire, Christmas music, hot cider, hot appies, games, mittens, quilts, and an old fashioned good time! Luckily our grands are all college age so we don’t have any wee little ones to worry about getting too cold. God definitely gave us a few lemons this year, so I decided to make lemonade. Feel very blessed that most of our family is here to celebrate with and we all healthy enough to do this.
I am a distance cousin from an unknown family line. What time should we get there and what’s the address? Whose house are we sleeping at and do they have plenty of toilet paper cause I am toilet paper insecure. Oh, it’s got to be a warm house and the cousins have to had a Covid test, recently. Welcome to the forum. My husband is from Wisconsin. I’m sure we are related. 😂😍

Hello and welcome from New Jersey. We are about 5 hours away from my daughter and her family who live in Virginia. We would love to go there for Christmas but can't decide yet. We will be safe there because her hubby works from home and the grandkids are being home schooled. Little or no contact with the outside world.
The only problem is having to stop for bathroom breaks. At our age its a challenge. Maybe if we go without our morning coffee we might make it, in what condition without out morning jolt is another story. I made end up sitting on the roof.
I love your bonfire idea. Sounds like so much fun. Don't forget the marshmallows.

Welcome to the forum, Kathleen. Your plans sound like a lot of fun!

We are going to spend Xmas day with our daughter and son-in-law, and their corgi, Abbi. They both work from home, so we feel safe in being with them. Only extreme inclement weather will keep us home. They're only about 40 minutes away.

Welcome to the forum, and Merry Christmas as well! I'll spend Christmas with just my sister and her husband, no extended family or rounds of visiting this year. Yet another vegetarian holiday to challenge my cooking skills...(sis and bil are both vegetarians)...

like Thanksgiving, i will be alone on Christmas... but NO TEARS! i see it as a small sacrifice to keep friends/family safe. we'll do t-day and Christmas later... even if we have to skip 2020 totally. there aren't many "littles" and those who are still Santa fans... this will be a GOOD lesson for them... peace on earth & good will to man.
