Now that my introduction period has ended, I have removed myself from the " New Guy " posting area to here as requested. Starting over here is new for me here just as starting the " New Guy " post was new then. Hopefully I will be able to settle here and have some fun with folks and get to know them better and they me. My whole reason to come here was to get to know my fellow Seniors and make some friends.

Hey Bob... I'll look forward to reading your diary entries. If you hit that "What's New" tab at the top, you'll see a bajillion topics to chime in on... also the tab that says "Forums"... all that to say that Senior Forums is huge with all kinds of threads. I got the feeling that you may have thought we're just either introductions or diary? If I'm wrong, I'll take my noodle lashes... but I noticed that you'd only posted in the introduction section previously.

If you need to know how to find the hundreds of topics, just say the word and someone will help with that. In any case, have fun with your diary thread!

Oh, good; you decided to stick around and try a diary. As Kate has already demonstrated so well, you'll find most of the people here to be very warm and happy to help.

Have a good time and best wishes. :)

I'm going to take this a step at a time. I doubt this will be a typical undertaking. Won't be a typical day in the life. Let's see where it goes. :)

Well, we have a couple things in common already...no three things. My brother is named Bob, I am from Cupertino Calif., and I love your choice in music!! :)

Well yes, there was a misunderstanding, I never intended to leave SF only the " New Guy " thread. So that's behind us now and moving forward. Yes, I have found most people here very warm and helpful. Caution......fun ahead. :)

Wow the big three. My Sister has a brother named Bob too. :giggle: Glad you like the music so far. I feel the music is going to be part of the story here. I'll have to look up where Cupertino, Ca. is. :) Love to you and yours.:)

It took me 40+ years to tell my story to one person in my life. She passed away on Feb. 4, 2025 and took the story with her. She was the main character in the story. She was my story. :)
I’m sorry for your loss. Many members here have lost their loved one so many can relate.
Was it an expected death or was she very ill?
Hope her soul rests in peace.

Thank you for condolences. No it wasn't expected and no she wasn't ill. She was healthier than I was or am. She was 72, had just had her 72nd birthday. She had gone to the store that day. Drove herself. I was at the door when she headed out. I told her it was a beautiful day and she said it was " gorgeous ". The rest of the day was normal stuff until......She had a stroke. She fell in the kitchen and I was in another room and I said " are you alright? no answer so I said it again.......she said no. The was the last word she spoke to me except for in dreams I've had since. That was on Feb 1, 2025. She passed on Feb. 4, 2025. :)

I’m so sorry Calboybob! That must have been horrible. Did she go into hospital? Did she lose consciousness and never regain it again?
Did you get to see her in the hospital?

It was a " massive " stroke they told me. Yes she went to the hospital by way of ambulance. I saw her in the hospital but she wasn't there. Her body was but she wasn't. I don't know if you can understand that.....it was hard for me to understand. The hospital is/was a whole different animal. :)
