Iran Shooting Ballistic Missiles into Israel

I look for Israel to strike back , just hope, they don't use the nuclear weapons they have.

Who will come to the aid of Iran? Russia? No, they are too busy...Haven't heard a peep from Rocket Man.
Maybe China, I very much doubt the other Arab nations will back them.

Well now that sure wouldn't be a very wise move! If I'm not mistaken (and I very well may be) I think they have close to 100 nuke warheads. I wonder what process (and through how many people) that decision would have to go?
 
Here in Germany the Arabs in Berlin celebrated the missiles on Israel.

On that point, we can agree that the profit motive for the U.S. military industrial complex is sacrosanct. Hence the constant wars without actually declaring same.

I am not quite so willing to trash the U.S. for political decisions that are made by fallible humans who don't always have the best interests of the country in mind. They - most of the time - have their own legacies in mind, or their own bank accounts in mind.
 
At least one Israeli soldier was killed this morning when their unit was ambushed by a contingent of Hezbollah militants in southern Lebanon, hours after the group launched more than 100 rockets into Israel.

The militant group claimed it confronted Israeli troops who were infiltrating the villages of Adaisseh and Maroun al-Ras, inflicting losses and causing them to retreat.

Israeli officials confirmed one IDF soldier was killed in action, while sources told The Times that a commando unit sustained multiple casualties when they were ambushed as they approached a tunnel close to Adaisseh.
Hezbollah also said that its fighters had targeted 'a large infantry force' in Misgav Am across the border with 'rockets and artillery', as well as troop gatherings in three other locations, one with Burkan short-range ballistic missiles.

The Iran-backed group's media officer Mohammad Afif insisted the group was only in 'round one' of its fight against the IDF and sought to dispel speculation that it had been weakened by ongoing Israeli attacks.

'Our forces and resistance are fully prepared to confront and resist the enemy. I tell everyone that the resistance is fine and the command and control system is fine.

'What happened in Misgav Am, Maroun al-Ras and Adaisseh today is only the beginning,' he said.

It comes as the IDF presses on with its brutal bombardment of Hezbollah positions across Lebanon, with at least five powerful explosions rocking southern Beirut this morning.

Hundreds of thousands of Lebanese civilians are fleeing north while Britons and other foreign nationals are rushing to escape the country after the IDF warned those living in the south to evacuate their homes.

Meanwhile, Israel's military is preparing a 'significant retaliation' to yesterday's shocking attack by Iran that saw nearly 200 ballistic missiles streak across the Middle East and rain down on Israel last night.

Those Israeli nukes are no joke. They are reputed to have a large stockpile. Iran has a history of interest in nukes. If they lack their
own they might be able to obtain them from a source like North Korea. A nuclear war in the Mid East could be a disaster for the rest of the world.
 
I googled this to be sure I was remembering it right. The Jew/Christians and the Muslims all claim descent from Abraham. But the divergence started one generation later. Abraham had two sons, Ishmael and Isaac (also called Israel). The Jews/Christians are descended from Isaac, and the Muslims are descended from Ishmael.

Talk about dysfunctional families!

It might be possible that Israel has not only the ordinary atomic bombs but neutron bombs too. If I were cynical I would call it a fine weapon, since it kills many people but has not much physical power to destroy buildings.

Issues of descent had little or nothing to do with the mutual hatred of Islam and Judaism. Muhammad set out to destroy his Arab enemies. In doing this he anticipated the support of Judaism, support that did not materialize, leading Muhammad to attack the Jewish tribe of Khaybar. From there it was all downhill between Islam and Judaism, an ill will that is unlikely to change.

There was animosity from the start between Ismael, the progenitor of the Arabic peoples and Israel, the progenitor of the Jews. Also between Sarah the ancestress of Israel, and her maidservant Hagar the ancestress of the Arabs.

Please note that Iraq is still occupied by USA forces which prohibit any governmental official kind of aggression from Iraq towards Israel. So those shooting the rockets from Iraq against Israel are Islamic revolutionary forces as the article points out.

That would have had far more serious consequences since Jesus came through Abraham, and it is through Jesus that all nations become blessed.

The irony of the situation is that those responsible for giving the order to start a nuclear WWIII, such as Putin, have underground shelters where they can survive and even party while we roast.
