Is it peaceful around American polling stations?

The Canadian Border Security Agency will have to decide if the new President should be admitted to Canada, or not, based on his being a convicted felon.
Come on. That's like a blind one-armed squirrel hiding in a distant tree facing the wrong way shaking its fist at somebody who keeps it alive by ignoring that it robs his wife's bird feeders.

If anything I'd expect the movement to become U.S. States to ramp up in B.C., Alberta, and the prairie provinces now.

Your (or not your, depending on your vote) new president isn't in the oval office yet, but was already successful to crush the German government.

The treasury secretary Lindner got fired by chancellor Scholz, the secretary of transport Wissing left his political party to stay in office (for this reason his three undersecretaries of state, one woman, two men, quit their work), Merz (Chairman of the supervisory board of BlackRock Germany from 2016–2020, who wants to become the next chancellor) demands that chancellor Scholz should call for a vote of confidence (the only possibility to end his chancellorship) and who knows what will happen the next days. What a funny situation :ROFLMAO:

I have been putting food out on the back porch for stray cats. The only one who comes is a young opossum. Comes every evening and cleans up the cat food. Been doing it for months since my last cat Coffie died. Now the opossum hangs around and waits until I put the food out. Doesn't run away anymore when I come to the back door. This morning I found he left an apple for me on the porch. Thanks little guy.

Oh I forgot, this is about the elections. I am tired of hearing about it. All the doom and gloom is depressing. Yes I voted. No problem. They had the arrow in the right place on the vote counting machine at last. I guess that's progress. Will not be following politics anymore. I feel a certain amount of shame at the outcome. I won't be following politics anymore because it is too dramatic and full of exaggerations. Like the millions of ads everywhere. Who needs that? Go sell your wares to people excited to listen. I am not. I think Stinky the Possum would agree.

Have you given the possum a name?

Countdown to protests and riots like we had in 2020 "when things were so much better." I didn't like seeing reporters being intentionally shot by cops, even if it was just with rubber bullets. I have a lot more respect for the press than I do for the police.

Stinky the Possum
It doesn't actually stink, does it?

I lived in a really nice house in a Sac suburb for a while that had a beautiful yard with a pool and lush trees and shrubs and all, and possums and raccoons hung around the pool a lot and had lunch with our cat.

I went out to take a dip one morning and saw a possum laying on the lawn. I thought it was playing dead, as they do, but it was actually dead...and it had a pouch full of babies. I think there was 5 of them. Very young ones. Hardly had any hair yet. :(

The kids ran in and got a shoe box and a towel, and I pulled the little joeys off their mom's teets and packed them off to the local vet's office. The people there had no idea what to do with them. I suggested a call to Fish & Game, and they said they would do that, but I could tell by their expressions things were probably not going to go well.

But walked out and I gave my kids two thumbs up and lied all the way home.
