Is Obama more to your liking now that he is showing his commander in chief savvy?

Pundits predict that his poll numbers will rise considerably now that his leadership skills against ISIS are beginning to show. His thoughtful but determined approach is impressing me and you are probably impressed too...

That is true, and it will take great leadership To keep the public on board with this struggle that will take some time to complete. The next presidential election might very well focus on this...

His "war" speech last night on TV didnt do him much good.

Obama punted in his speech.
This so called "war" of his is going to last till he is out of office then maybe, just maybe we'll get a real Commander-in-chief.

It impressed both wife and I so much, we applauded him while sitting in our recliners! One thing for sure, some people like Obama and others don't and that's ok. As far as "war" goes, I'm not necessarily for it, but I'm sure not against it either........sometimes it's the most necessary thing to do. But, at the same time, all of this crime/killings in the U.S. needs to be addressed as well.

I watched the speech and tuned in to more than one "after speech" synopsis by the cable media. One "news channel" began a bash fest from the first sentence after the speech ended... and continued it for the entire time of commentary. Two others I tuned in to had good discussion about what the speech meant for the future of our Country. One of those two had discussion from both sides of the aisle, politically.
It saddens me that we cannot come together as a Country... we cannot come together as a Free World... and develop a joint focus and strategy to defeat a cancer that is determined to wipe democracy and freedom off the face of the Earth. Instead, the discussion seems to be driven by partisan dislike of a specific elected official. Any of the extreme jihadists watching cable news after last night's speech are jumping with joy that our own media would rather commercialize divisiveness than champion a united front against terrorism.

Obama wants billions more to give to Al-Qaeda-linked Syrian rebels and the Iran army to train, support ,defend themselves.

Did you already forget these stories?? "Jun 28, 2014 ... Built and trained by the U.S. at a cost of some $25 billion, the Iraqi Army quickly
collapsed in the last few weeks against well-equipped rebel ..." OH wait!!! Iraq has a new Prime Mnister(Appointed by Obama) and that should take care of everything.

I never put a 100% faith in any president. I'm more worried about the talking heads or ones that keep on talking to the talking heads. They seem to be able to influence opinion as much as any president. Which is fine checks and balance when the politicians actual check the balance.

This statement hits a home run!!

President Obama is caught in the middle of this country's extremism and he is wise to deal with the latest terrorist with caution, doing nothing is not an option, but WHATEVER he does will not be accepted to those that hate him, he not only has to deal with the horror of the ISIS, he has to deal with those here that want nothing less than his destruction and if they destroy the country doing it, they could care less.

I really worry about the priorities of these people.

But he can wage "war" for ninety days before going to Congress to continue...
