For the first time ever, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced today that it is issuing a national regulation limiting the amount of certain per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) found in drinking water. Commonly called “forever chemicals,” PFAS are synthetic chemicals found nearly everywhere – in air, water, and soil – and can take thousands of years to break down in the environment.

The new standards will reduce PFAS exposure for 100 million people and prevent thousands of deaths and illnesses. Public water utilities will be required to test for six different types of PFAS chemicals to reduce exposure in drinking water. The EPA is making $1 billion available to states and territories to implement PFAS testing and treatment at public water systems. This investment is part of a $9 billion initiative to assist communities impacted by PFAS contamination1.

It's official, we can now sue god and country for knowingly poisoning us to death. :)

I saw the news about this. Some of us might indeed be dead before the utility companies can correct the situation. Solidified my thinking that just about everything we eat and drink has become bad for us! :cautious:
