Is there room for a wrinkly young fella on here?

Happy New Year to you too. Chicago is a pretty city. Kind of chilly in the winter. I am from North Jersey and was, used to cold and snow. Having been in Florida for 40 years I guess I have adopted the state and the warm weather. Nice to meet you

Tim Sarah Vaughn one of my favorites

Hi,

My name is Tim, no relation to 'Tiny', just wanted to say hello.

I like music from the 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s and 60s...........is there music after this?

Sarah Vaughan sang some beautiful songs. She was so talented. Love it when I can actually understand the words and especially when they are meaningful

Well, I'm a wrinkly young lady so welcome aboard. I'm also new to all of this. No, there is no music after the 60"s. I worked for RCA for 10 years and got to listen to all the new stuff because I was a record tester. Got to meet Elvis and other singers when they had their pictures taken by a large statue of Nipper. I expect that, possibly, many of the baby boomers on this site are unfamiliar with records. Everyone seems super nice on this forum so I am eager to have people to chat with.
Hi Bobbi, cool that you worked for RCA, must have been a real experience, especially meeting Elvis. what exactly did a record tester do?

Actually, I would think all Boomers had record collections . . . or would I be wrong about that? Guess the youngest would be 52 right now . . . is it possible that age would not have had records and a record player?

I can't better what you have said there, Bobbi, so I'll just agree......totally.:)
